Leaning towards more on the Shugoki since Kensei is getting a REWORK.
Passive Hyper Armor Either rework the passive or remove the extra damage taken. I don't know why I should be the first one to die instantly if I'm classified as a "TANK". Like my other post concerning about this, Juggernaut and Hard to Kill feat doesn't help with this handicap. Even with a full defense gear build, the results remains the same because its a permanent 25% extra damage taken while the hyper armor is down. And we all know how to break that with just a simple guard break. By removing the 25% extra damage taken, I'm sure many people will probably start playing Shugoki again. Being the slowest of all the characters with this ridiculous handicap just ruins his title as a "TANK".
Heavy Attacks I'll give you the data, again. Top/Side Heavy are 900ms from startup to actual hit, 600ms recovery after the hit. A total of 1500ms for the full animation from start to finish. Charge Heavy Attacks Again. 2nd stage charge top/side heavy 1200ms startup to actual hit, 600ms recovery. Now, both of these can be guard break during startup. Might be harder on console, but on PC you can def guard break it. Characters like PK doesn't count because she can cancel the heavy to a poison stab or a guard break (without feinting). Fully Charged Heavy my favorite move to go over with. 1500ms startup to actual hit, 1300ms recovery. It cannot be guard break on reaction, but you can definitely guard break him after being hit and he cannot counter guard break you. This move is only good if you know its going to kill your opponent, however, what good does it do if you need to get your opponent low just to use the fully charged heavy and on the ground OOS. You rather execute your opponent to get health back, right? I would appreciate if the DEVS will reduce his recovery time on his charge heavy attacks.
Dodge Forward Dash 600ms, Side Dash 700ms, Back Dash 800ms. Yes, typicall slow character, but Shugoki has the worst dodge distance and i-frame. If you dodge a Conq's shield bash, he can counter guard break your guard break. Same applies to Warden's (uncharged) shoulder bash. Now, there is one character that can prob hit Shugoki 90% of the time. That's right, Valkyrie's sweep. My last game of dominion today was an infinite loop of sweeps while the Cent pins my fat ***. As soon as I get up, I get sweep again, rinse and repeat. I attempt to dodge the valk's sweep but my dodge i-frame is too small. I suggest the DEVs to increase the i-frame of his dodge since his dodges are short distanced.
Demon's Embrace Just give me health back when the damage is applied and not when I toss my opponent down... jeez.
Oni Charge I'm going to be real on this one. Its useless, enough said. "Oh but you can knock down an opponent in revenge mode." Revenge does not last long enough to even attempt to Oni Charge, even with a revenge build. Revenge got nerf back in season 2. My suggestion, a rework, or revert it back to the old Oni Charge but only knocks down OOS opponent.
