As the title says, Uplay is forced to shutdown. It was fine about 2 or 3 days ago when i was last on. Never had this issue before.
Uplay will startup fine. But soon as i go to load a game, thats where the error occurs. I've tried a couple different games all ending with the same result.
I was going to play The Crew to unlock some more cars for The Crew 2.
I think i am using the Beta version of UPlay as well, so it might be within the beta thats causing the issue, but im not sure on how i can find if i am using beta or if i can turn it off to get past it if it is the beta causing the issue.

So i had this issue pop its head up again today. Realised it was something to do with the Beta version of the Uplay launcher. So unticked the box for the beta version in settings, restarted uplay, all seems fine now.
Then the crew wouldnt play. Had to delete the crew folder from documents folder to get it to work again
Just had this issue prop up again.
Tried the troubleshooting methods, nothing worked.
Then i thought, i will unplug my Oculus rift, and its sensosrs,(left the HDMI portion plugged in tho), and my Thrustmaster Warthog & TFRP from the PC, and the game launched without crashing UPlay.
So, either its the warthog & TFRP crashing The Crew and a few other games on UPlay or its the Oculus rift and its sensors, or its a combination of both.
Again....resolved, hopefully for good this time
Might be worth while for others if they have this issue, to try unplugging peripherals to see if it helps them.
And maybe Ubi making this a sticky for all games in future, and making it a troubleshooting method![]()
