If Ubisoft managed to give us 1.02 version of the game, why it is not possible to just go back and do it again?
But, of course, you need more evidence. It's like you're not having your own copy of the game. Blind man can see all those issue, and everybody can see them, everybody except Ubisoft.
Here's a video.Originally Posted by Ubi-Banshee Go to original post

But there are many many examples on the web, only thing is needed is a simple research on Youtube.
Sorry but the argument that screenshots are not enough.. is an excuse.
This is a massive issue. There are professional and expert videogame portals, like Digital Foundry, that today have recognized the issue. Probably they will write an article too. They say that the game is now reverted to a pre-release status, how it was at Gamescom.
How can't the team notice the downgrade?
In all seriousness, but if the “team” can’t see the massive difference, especially in regions with lot sof vegetation or in towns, then they need new glassesOriginally Posted by Ubi-Banshee Go to original post
- Lod textures have shadows, closer high res models dont, very close models have sudden shadow pop-ins; this is especially noticable on trees.
- Lod textures are of lower quality closer to the player and very intrusive
- skybox looks cloudy mostly and low quality compared to 1.03/1.02
- draw-distance was obviously reduced
We have provided immens loads of picture and video evidence showing the nonsense, yet you act like they dont understand.
Tell them to please roll back to 1.02 and add HDR, because this is where everyone was happy.
Nonsense, XBOX has the same issues.Originally Posted by hckh1991 Go to original post
Come on dude, this is nonsense. The issues are affecting all console platforms including the X. Let's keep this thread focused on the real issues, and not derail it with conspiracy rubbish. No offence.Originally Posted by hckh1991 Go to original post
Given that players across different platforms and different models of those platforms are experiencing the same issues, and coupled with the fact the community reps infer the developers cannot spot the cause of this issue and require submissions of images and videos, and henceforth there can be no estimated date for resolution, it only makes sense for all platforms to be rolled back to release patch or 1.02 (before players started having graphical issues).
All platforms should then stay at that reverted state until the issue is resolved. It is unfair to expect customers to simply trudge through the problems until resolution. Indeed it is more frustrating as a customer to only hear days later that the developers have not identified the cause of the issue. As soon as the problem came to light a reversion patch could have been sent for approval. By not doing so, its just led to a bad reputation for the game and company because forums and gaming media websites and have reported the issue.
Sorry, but that is complete BS. You can tell your friend, if he even exists, that rumors like that are toxic for the whole gaming community. This does not help resolve the problem and is false btw, because Xbox One X seems to have streaming problems as well.Originally Posted by hckh1991 Go to original post
After taking the game for another ride this evening, I am somewhat happy to report that, at least in my game, some of the issues seem to rather stem from the ingame location. Especially lighting and skybox stuff. Try to visit a different location from the place you are currently in the game world. For me, a bit of traveling brought back wonderful clear skies with amazing volumetric clouds, as well as golden glow from sand and dust particles when the sun is setting. Textures seem to be ok as well, in terms of quality, but what I noticed in my game is that there are definitely streaming problems. Sometimes, textures take forever to load, even those close to the player character. Pop-in is another issue I can confirm, especially when using Senu or traveling by horse. It happens a lot in bigger towns and cities, and in densely vegetated areas. Same goes with LoD, which seems to act rather aggresively sometimes, thus affecting the draw distance under certain circumstances. Things will look ugly for a bit too long, so players noticed.
I posted a ticket with Ubi support and provided them with a video about the borked cloth physics. Those are real as well, and very notable.
But other than that, I am now not so stern in regarding this a intentional downgrade. Seems to me some texture streaming and LoD issues were introduced with the last patch, but I am now leaning towards calling them bugs that could have been avoided, instead of intentional downgrade. Lighting, skybox, textures, particles and effects like godrays are absolutely ok, still in the game and havent changed since launch. Only problems are texture streaming, LoD and pop-in, as well as slow-mo cloth physics.

Could you please confirm that the team is working on this issue for both Xbox AND PS4 consoles? I'm just checking because although this thread is in the PS4 subforum, the issue is definitely on Xbox too, and has been widely reported as such by users. Thank you.Originally Posted by Ubi-Banshee Go to original post
