I'm really disappointed at that.Ubi-keo said that the devs are aware of the issue and investigating it,that means the problem is a known issue, right?Maybe they need more time ,so I don't want to say it is 'fishy' yet,but I really don't understand why they didn't mention it.Originally Posted by MisterBeech Go to original post
I am not only disappointed, but almost mad about this.Originally Posted by MisterBeech Go to original post
The Ubisoft represantatives here said two times that the issues are known and currently being "investigated".
Now there's even a big player (Digital Foundry) confirming that the game is back to pre-release graphics.
How can one not mention this problems in the Known Issues thread, since this is being discussed since 2 days maybe? It is one of the hottest topics at the moment, and they just pretend there's nothing happening? Game looks ugly now and looked amazing at launch, how can one not care about this?!
I am currently working on a short video and some screenshot comparisons, since I found some screenshots I took before the patches hit. Visited the same locations now and took comparison shots. Stay tuned for more evidence!
Hi all –
We understand your frustrations and we actively assessing the situation. However, the screenshots are not enough for our team to diagnose potential issues. If you feel you have been affected graphically since the patch, it would help our team immensely if you could open a support ticket and submit a video from your game of the issue occurring.

Other information that would be helpful in the ticket is knowing which location this occurred at and which Title Update you are using.
Thank you for your patience in this, if you can give us the information above it will really help our team assess the situation.

C'mon know, brother. Just turn on the game and start running or riding a horse. You'll instantly see crazy pop/ins on trees, buildings, statues etc. After that, look at sky. It's contantly cloudy! Do I have to mention downgraded dynamic cloth mechanics on buildings and even on characters. Game's looking flat and dull and that's an issue with lighting.Originally Posted by Ubi-Banshee Go to original post
Everybody are agreeing about those issues, even Xbox One X users.
If those screenshots are not enough for team to start working on fixing this BS, I'll give you a video to see for yourself in case you haven't played the game since patch 1.04.
LoD textures and pop/ins: https://youtu.be/0CNkfzdQOPo
On my standard PS4, damn pop-ins are everywhere, textures are not fully loaded and, overall, whole world lost it's graphic fidelity from version 1.02.
As a customer who paid full price for Deluxe Edition at day one, I want this to be fixed as soon as possible.
@ ubi-banshee
It’s imposible to compare when you can’t go back to 1.02.
I already made a ticket with screenshots and was told they were working on a fix. But now your telling me that they have dropped this issue and need more ?
Well i hope digital foundry make a video about this so the team can see what the users see.
Sounds like the developer won’t agree on what we see and we have to post videos now and so on to prove this problem - unbelieveable 😔
Sounds more and more like this will be permanent and the fight is lost. I’m giving up on this and have to deal with a product i bought is not the same as when i got it. I feel so robbed and mistreated 😢
The game used to be gorgeous on PS4 Pro 1.02 patch.
Stunning lighting effects, many dust, sands and particles, LOD and impressive draw distance, great textures quality. Now the game looks flat, textures popping 20 meters in front of me, they added a weird white-yellow filter for long distance objets, removed the gorgeous lighting effects, vegetation is almost all gone and replaced with a flat green texture, I also noticed some aliasing... The game is super ugly now.. Why Ubisoft? Performance wise, it wasn't perfect on 1.02 for me but Definitely playable. Now it's just a distracting mess! Fix it please, I recently purchased the season pass because I intend to play the game for a long time.
We can do the comparison internally to previous versions, what we need is video of what you're seeing when you play. It's not that we won't agree, but right our developers don't have a lot of cases to look at. Video taken in-game at the areas you feel are affected will be able to give them the information they need to assess the situation.
I know it's an extra step, but without your input and participation, it will be difficult for us get a good overview of what players are experiencing.

I will try to do that, I still have some videos (luckily) on Patch 1.02 and will compile some material that shows both versions against each other.Originally Posted by Ubi-Banshee Go to original post
Could you, kindly, in return ask the devs about the "performance improvements" introduced with latest patch 1.04? I would especially like to know if Anisotropic Filtering was reduced, draw distances reduced, and particle and lighting effects removed? That would clear a lot up... somehow, they must have worked on visual stuff to improve performance, so why not share what they did? May be another way to find the culprit...
Thank you for this response, anyway, it feels good when you know that someone from Ubi is actually reading this!
Hi guys
I am posting this because I've heard very unsettling news , well more like a rumor..
I have a friend who works as information broker for stock market and share.
He plays games too so we recently had a discussion about this graphic mess.
What he told me was quite shocking.
He did not buy AC origin because he already knew this graphic downgrade was on it's way.
According to his source the graphic downgrade is intentional and is going to stay as it is.. because?
Yeah New Xbox one-X sales.
Apparently there has been a deal going on behind our back.
I sincerely hope this is just a rumour.
Please UBI, post something on known Issue thread or make a proper statement regarding this mess. Tell us these rumors are ********.
If these are true, i swear that I am gonna literally burn my ACO copy and will never again buy your games.
