Been playing six months now, and I just don't get it.
I come across so many players on PS4 that will counter every gaurd break I toss out.

Yet when I get tossed one, I can't catch the counter no matter how early, or late, wether I tap square once, a few times, hold it.

Almost NEVER do I not end up eating the heavy or taking a high dive.

When I practice in the tutorial, sure it works great when I hit it as soon as I see the red icon... great...

Yet online... NEVER works.

Can anyone give me anything useful that might help besides...

if you can't do a CGB the chances of win are bad, most of times you can see he comes but never press square before, wait it happens then press square. If your not
accustomed to use the square you can configurate to L1 or R3. Make Duels agains Boot to pratice.

Well, in bot practice it seems hitting it before or within a very tight time window after the hit works.. very tight.

But I just remapped sqaure to L2 on my Nacon controller and think this may finally be a big difference maker.

Nope, still NEVER works online.
The same thing that works all day in duel bot practice, but just about NEVER online.

I've never heard of Orochi, but I only play with the Vikings ...
When you do in the tutorial it is different because it does not have the LAG factor, are not you trying to do the CGB in moments when it is not possible? like in the middle of a dodge

I realize there is a lag factor, but no, I finally get it now after hearing from many Orochi mains.

It's just another crippling issue for him.
Doesn't matter when you hit it.
When you see the shield, when you hear the hit, or right after.

Orochi will just about NEVER get the counter.

i main orochi and i counter 100 % GBs that arent after parry ,dodge ,etc, Playing on PC , not sure if theres any bug on diff platform

I've played some other charcters on another account with much more success.

I don't know if it's because his guard break range is shorter than most, causing the counter window ti be even smaller.

But I've heard this issue from a few Orochi mains, not sure if it's console only or what.
