Like I said I want this game to succeed, it is my main game also and I care enough I recap the Den on here. I just remember the last free weekend where three people actually bothered to come here to post I won't be buying the game because of errors and I think it is a mistake to open themselves up to that.

Do you have to be in a party for it to count or can you just play with randoms you happen to play a game with?

Sorry to be late in replying to your question which is, that you must be added to a group by a friend in the game. Just playing with other players does not count.

I hope people took the time to click on the link in the ad informing them about this Warrior Training program. I was in a group of three and when the matchmaking system found the fourth guy, I had to wonder if that player read the details and did he/she ever got the chance to be friended and added to a group so they can earn their 5k steel. There was no way to know. And the one guy I reached out to never messaged back and seems to be interested in just gaining some gamerscore achievement during the free weekend play days. He's closing on 1000 pts for the monthly gamerscore btw.

Anyway, some players just played a free game while others wanted to participate in the training program so they can earn 5k steel. I hope you were able to be in a group of friends this past weekend. By November 15th, I'll see if my group of friends got their 5k or not. lol we played a lot of matches!!!!!!

The reason I asked is because on the dev stream Damien said that "It's probably something you already do" when he spoke about playing with newbs. I interpreted that as just playing with a random player would count. Because I don't think playing with new players in a party is something that most players already do.

I remember him saying that, and while I can not speak for him, those words alone can be misunderstood. English is not his primary language. And this is not the first time he or any of those devs misspoke either.

It would be nice for him to clarify about this [i.e., in the next Warrior Den's stream] and because of the confusion [wait for it, wait for it], they will have another Warrior Training program after November 15th. lol

    Update:

My friends and I had a great time over the weekend with the Warrior Training program. My brother and I got our 5k steel as promised with the new update. He does not own the game and neither does another friend of ours. But we saw what it was like to be in a group for once. The whole group experience was quite an eye opener. For a long time, my brother and I would take turns when playing this game. We only knew what it is like to play with random players and were familiar with how that all went. Our third friend downloaded the game on her Xbox for the first time since trying the game in Beta. Our fourth friend could not and he missed out on the whole weekend training due to his country unable to provide IPv6 for their countrymen? And he just got his Xbox One X, too.

Again, this was an eye opener. We saw how quick it was to get a match going into brawl when it was just my brother and myself in a group. Like WOW, people. And when our friend was available, we saw the usual waiting time as a group of three to find a match. Had our fourth friend been able to join, it would have been quicker. And please bare in mind, we had that community event going. I came in 4th place and I had a choice to play by myself just to rank like mad. You know who you are, roflmao. But I chose to help them rank instead and really have fun playing this game, which we did! And yeah I still ended up in 4th place when that event ended on Sunday. LOL!!!!!!!!

Our friend had a great time playing as did we. Don't know if her 5k steel will be available when she finally buys the game. Both would like to get the gold edition. They have their reservations though after the 'oopsie' the devs made with the appearance of lvl 3 bots. So yeah, until that's remedied, if ever, what happened this weekend may have been the best time we ever had with For Honor.

I would like you to hold a free weekend in Japan.
This game is "Samurai Faction", but I am sad that I will not hold it in Japan (Japanese PSN).
I want the number of new Japanese player to increase!
