You have advertised the PC version as a 4K capable but my question to you is - have you during your internal testing managed to get the game to play at 4K/60fps for a longer period of time in various locations? I have a 6700K/1080Ti/16GB DDR4 and am not able to achieve a locked 60fps scenario even at Medium settings. The two major problems are:

    1. In game cut-scenes displaying a conversation between Bayek and an NPC where the camera is quite close to either character. My FPS always goes down to 45-48 in those cases. Note that NPC conversations where the camera is not close to the characters is not affected by this FPS dip.
    2. Wooded areas like east of Alexandria and beyond. This always pushes the FPS down to 50-55 with some stuttering as a side effect.

I'm aware that your marketing has communicated 4K/30fps but this target is for consoles and not PCs? After all a 6700K paired with a 1080Ti is vastly more powerful than any console.
Not gonna be able to do 4k @ 60fps without SLI, which I fully expected. You should be able to do 1440p with everything cranked though I would think and get a solid 60fps.

Hi.... If I may ask.... What software do you use in your Youtube post that shows the FPS-window in the right bottom of the screen?

    My pc at home:

    Settings - High
1440p 144hz(doesne matter for this game since u will never hit those fps)
    i7 4790k 4.9ghz
    GTX 1080ti
    DDR3 16gb 1600mhz

CPU UTILIZATION from 75% to 100% cpu (mostly on 100%)

    FPS - from 60 to 45 and from 60 to 75 depends where u are atm.(dropping alot)

    My pc at work

    Settings - Ultra
    1440p 60hz
    i7 8700k
    GTX 1080
    DDR4 32gb ram 2800mhz

    CPU utilization around 60-70%

FPS never goes under 80 range is like 85 - 100

My observation is this game is very cpu sensitive.

    Regards,

    Davlik
What kinda workplace is that. I wanna work there too!

since we were lied to, how about some refunds?

We’ve been asked for a reference as to what hardware you would need to run the game in around 60fps. Below are two configurations of hardware we have used as a benchmark for running the game at 1080p or 1440p.

Hardware of this level or higher is required to meet this performance, however, a combination of these will provide different results. Please also note that your type of PC components should not range too far from each other. For example, if you have a GTX980 but using a processor that is lower than the recommended, you will most likely not be able to meet 60 FPS. We encourage you to reach out to Customer Support and provide us with as much detail as you can such as PC configuration details and dxdiag information.

We will continue to deliver updates whenever the learnings from a specific case can be valuable to everyone.

Okay, I was bit disgruntled that my PC which exceeds your recommended specs, performed in a manner that I would never recommend. Now that I see you are increasing your specifications I am an incredibly angry customer. I chose to give Ubisoft the benefit of the doubt, that you guys would resolve this issue, so I chose not to return the game on steam, you know, being a loyal customer. Ef me, right? Now that I see that this ********, It would be appropriate of you to refund this game. I cannot support shady business practices like this and I am quite disgusted with both your company and the handling of this issue.

In fact, the optimization is not different than any other Ubisoft game (which isn`t the best in most cases, but this hasn`t been such a problem). Optimization is the efficient use of your pc power, dropping the quality is not a matter of optimization. And if this was caused by vpm or denuvo or both, this can not be fixed by a patch.
I'm not talking about when playing to hit the menu button and the game sit active in the background waiting for me to return, i'm talking about starting fresh game without loading anything and just sit in the menu, i can sit like that for hours and CPU usage dosn't drop, what is working? its just a menu with 6 buttons and a background, no 3d stuff nothing? Is it mining bitcoins or something???

To be fair. DOOM has pretty high CPU Usage on the menu and that game is VERY well optimized.

Yeah well, then again I don't own the game but this doesn't go against what I say. I just meant to say there is no unusual Ubi optimization issue. The problem can be drm. But I'm not the expert for that.

One shouldn't have to count on SLI to save the day, especially since SLI support is getting worse and worse, especially now with DX12 in more and more games (not this one) and the fact that SLI is less and less supported by nVidia.

It's true that 1440p works just fine and gives me some 80-100 fps depending on the scene (I have a 144Hz monitor).

    16GB DDR3 1600mhz memory
