It sounded like a nice break from front line duty; a unit transfer to Forward Artillery Battery Delta, Hill 6. You had only been here a week when the enemy began probing your northern defenses. They seemed to be coming from every direction, just a few scouts at first. That was four days ago.

The next day at sundown the shelling began and the next thing you knew hoards of soldiers began assaulting the hill from all sides. That was a long night, but it was only the beginning. Sunrise exposed the extent of the damage and it was bad on both sides. Sundown came again and it was deja vu all over again. Three nights later and you find yourself (yourselves) alone. The last of the resistance on this blood-soaked mound of hot sand.

And now, dusk is here again and so are they! The enemy thinks you're all but dead. You could surrender. Or, you could use their confidence against them and give the grunts a deadly surprise. But you'd better hurry; they'll be here soon!
