Assassin's Creed Origins Crash when Bayek enters in the water

    Hello everyone!

I have a problem with Assassin's Creed Origins. I'm at the very start of the game and blocked by a crash that does not make me go. Looking for medicines in the river (or sea?) at Siwa, at the beginning of the mission "The Healer - Find the Jars and Retrieve from the Sunken Ship ("The Healer Side Quest")" when Bayek enters the water, the game crashes! I have tried and retried in all the ways I knew, but nothing. I'm stuck. Any help, please?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi there,
Have you tried verifying the game files? Does the game crash at any other points?

Could you let us know your PC specs?

Assassin's Creed Origins Crash when Bayek enters in the water

Thanks for answer Ubi-Rufus. It is not possible to answer directly from reply (because a ”javascript:void(0)” when I try to do it... Anyway...
So, about your questions: "(a) Have you tried verifying the game files? (b) Does the game crash at any other points? (c) Could you let us know your PC specs?"

    a) I don't know what this mean...
    b) No, the game go well until this point
    c) My PC is a little bit old, and I have everything to very low configuration in the options of the game. Because a full report is very long, please tell me, what exactly do you need to know?

    Thanks

    Hello!

I'm not familiar with this issue, so I'd first like to ask some questions.

Just to confirm - you completed a DLC and now the game crashes when you're underwater, is that correct?

Which DLC was it that you recently completed?

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?

I would first like to suggest verifying game files to see if that helps.

    Thank you!

    Hello,

So the game went perfectly. I bought a season pass and did a few missions until the first underwater mission. Then it crashed.
Fortunately, I found the cause. The Nvidia 466.47 driver was to blame, at least it seems so. I installed an older 461.09 and the error disappeared.

I had a similar problem. I could swim but I couldn't swim underwater. Eventually I found that the Nvidia driver was causing me problems. I installed an older one and the error disappeared.

Thanks for sharing your workaround for this issue. Hopefully this will in turn help others experiencing the same or similar issues.

    Hey there.

I'd recommend giving Orolhes' suggestion a try as well as giving our basic troubleshooting steps a try which do in a lot of cases resolve most of the common causes of crashing/freezing.

If after doing so you're still experiencing issues I'd then recommend opening a support case. You can reach us either through the support website by opening a live chat session or alternatively through our social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter and they will be able to create a support case for you.

After you've opened the case if I can also ask you to attach two system reports to the case that will assist us in identifying any potential cause. The reports we need from you are:

    MSInfo
    DxDiag

    Thanks.
