So i know we all have all kinds of ideas on things that should or shouldnt be changed about the game (I mostly play campaign btw), but i was wanting to know what exactly do you guys look for when considering implementing something to the game? The reason i ask is because i want to try and make suggestions that would be more tailored to what you guys are looking for. I'd like to have an idea of what exactly your vision for this game is so i can suggest things that would go along with and improve upon that. To be frank i dont want to waste my time suggesting things if none of it is going to be implemented and the best way to suggest things imo is to get word from the Dev's what their Mindset and goals for the game and its future is. As someone who's thoroughly played all the Ghost Recon games i think i can safely say i know what is and isnt "Ghost Recon" material and i'd like to share my opinions that would improve the Ghost Recon feel with you guys. I love Wildlands and all the work you guys put into this game and cant wait to see what amazing things you guys bring to the game in the future.
@franklin9150, the best thing is simply to say what you'd like and why. The development team has a genuine and heartfelt interest in the views of the GR fan community, and everything you post here gets through to the team for consideration. The one thing they kept asking us to do at workshops was to not filter our feedback. Yes, they have "their" vision, and there are practical limitations on some ideas, but every player has a voice because constructive feedback is highly valued by the Devs.
That's funny since they never cared about my feedback from my first complaint/wishlist post.Originally Posted by AI BLUEFOX Go to original post
To be fair, gamers need to stop using the mindset of "care = granted".Originally Posted by Vargus17 Go to original post
We all can suggest and it will be put into consideration. It doesn't work like "hey this random guy A in the forum says X, so we do what he says, OK?", then the whole company raised thumbs up while yelling "OK!".
Best thing I can say is to try to put yourself in the corporate's position, because only by then you realize you're not dealing with the suggestions yourself, but rather with a lot of other people involved and affected in the decision making.
I'm not going to say they care or not; I don't work for and with them and so I don't know for sure. I myself am waiting for someone's request to happen and that was only about a Store Content line-up, which is still not happening right now. We can't say they never cared either, because in fact they have made several changes based on suggestion, including the crappy one like spawning vehicle far away that renders the Rebel Support ineffective.
Except that Ubiphobos was the 2nd reply on the thread.Originally Posted by Vargus17 Go to original post
You won't get Dev Team specfic and personal responses about the suggestions you make in the forum and that is the way it has always been for good reasons. It is a minefield for them in terms of gamer aspirations. Even when they give responses formally - Dev team Q&A for example - it can upset people who respond emotionally if there isn't agreement with their views. You made a good list, it was comprehensive and well thought out; a couple of items on there that others also wanted have been implemented.
All your points will have got through to the Dev team and all of them appreciated for the thought and effort that went into them. All of them will matter as Ghost Recon is further developed.
I agree.Originally Posted by Kane_sg Go to original post
Personally, I don't agree with several of the decisions / direction Ubi has taken on this title but that doesn't mean I think it's because they don't care. Feedback does have an effect. The helo controls and revised HUD options for us hardcore folks are good examples. ....and also an example of how I may not agree with the execution (e.g. the helo controls) but the fact is that it was the direct result of people providing their feedback.
For the record UbiPhobos never said he would pass it on all he did was post a gif. Secondly I am just getting more and more frustrated that patch after patch they make no effort to fix the problems that everyone sees. I don't care if they implement any of my ideas or anyone elses, just fix the AI. They always say the squeakiest wheel gets the grease and I am just trying to be that wheel.Originally Posted by AI BLUEFOX Go to original post
I can guarantee you that the AI wheel will never get greased... I even doubt it will get get better if WL2 comes out someday. Besides, they already said it wouldn't happen.
@ Franklin... I am sure they also know what is and what isn't Ghost Recon, the problem is how much effort they want to put into it. Eyecandy sells more than good gameplay it seems.
