    The Conqueror

A highly underused character, the Conqueror has been suggested many times as a character for a rework. As a Conqueror main i don't entirely think this is necessary, that being said, im not at all going to state that the character is perfect. There are however ways that the Conqueror as it stands can be improved.

The flail is a unique idea that comes at the cost of being the only weapon that cannot be used to faint, which is understandable. However he does get the ability to cancel into full block, something many still didn't know until Ubisoft decided to add it to his moveset. Regardess, here is a few ideas i have for how to improve this character.

    Light + Heavy:
Not the first thing people would think of im sure but an improvement none the less. The Conqueror currently has a combo called Final Argument, which is two lights followed by a heavy. I have never seen a single Conqueror, including myself, actually use this. Thats not to say nobody uses it but its not surprising. Landing two light attacks in a row, especially in high level play, is very difficult let alone being able to land the heavy afterwards. Changing this to one light and then the heavy would be better since you are more likely to hit the first light attack, then go for the faster heavy. Plus, it gives him more options since the following heavy can then be cancelled in to full block, then sheild bash and so on more easily.

    Full Block Guard Breaks:
This was a nerf for the Conqueror that wasn't really necessary in my opinion, especially with how underused the character already was. Following an update the Conqueror is now unable to counter guardbreak when being guard broken in full block stance, which has essentially made the move useless apart from being used as the Conquerors faint. If this were removed it would certainly give the Conqueror less to worry about, especially considering that the Conqueror has skills for making it both a heavy defensive and offensive character. As well as this i think full block should work the same way as superior block whereby it interupts opponents chains.

    The Zone attack:
There are a couple of ideas i've had about improving this, since it doesn't have much range and unlike other characters doesn't have many uses. One idea i had was being able to switch from charging a heavy attack into a zone attack, which would cause the zone attack to do more damage due to the charge up, therefore allowing you to quickly attack all those around you with a very hard hit. The other idea was being able to move whilst using the zone attack. This might seem bad but this actually occurs in a campaign cutscene for the knight when Apollyon arrives after having found the iron legion that had abandoned their posts.

Feel free to add your own thoughts and suggestions for this character or let me know what you think of my suggestions. RAH!

I agree with you on everything, except the zone attack. The zone attack is extremely useful. You block all stances while doing it, and if your opponent parry it, most of the time they won't be able to land a gb, and you will be able to block most followup light attacks. The zone attack is almost the most useful move in conq's arsenal in my opinion.

Quite the opposite. It is now an official part of his moveset.

I definitely thought it was a fairly recent thing, but that could have been a fever dream. I'll look further into it.

What I really want to see is for the conqueror to have the same number of frames as his side heavies as for his top heavy or for his top heavy to do more damage to justify why it is slower. Let's face it there isn't a single good conqueror who would ever use a top heavy unless they are using its superior-block property to counter something; I just want to have more options for my heavy attacks. Additionally, I do not understand why there is a gap in time after blocking an attack with his full-block to doing a Shield Bash Riposte
