OW! Game just ruined my ears and my speakers. Loud static sound on PC no audio

Never had a problem like this before. Soon as I load game up I am getting a very loud static sound. CLose game and it goes away. using omni surround 5.1 via optical cable to receiver with dolby digital live.

Game has some very strange audio issues... I thought I had a severe grounding issue myself with massive crackling but every other audio in games or streams were fine. Fixed it with either a replug or new mobo audio drivers, unsure which did it.

Try using a 2.1 sound system at most until it's fixed.

Yes disabling Dolby Digital live"fixed" the issue. Some sort of audio encoding problem or something, probably needs a patch. Maybe in a month I'll be able to play the game!

I would suggest to wait for the day 1 patch/update.

Looks like they are doing some fine tuning to Dolby atmos. So IMO it might patch the audio issues.

I solved this by changing playback device birate from 24bit to 16bit. I hope it stays solved.
