One season is done, we are in the wind up for the next. Brief info drop
Update on the Halloween Event, new Bundles, Faction War Rewards, and the Season 4 Event Tournament. .No season 4 info on this show, they start this next week.
And we are live, to the friends theme tune, truly horrific.
News of the week
They have limited time bundles, one per hero, with all the content linked to the event. It depends on what you already own, the base price is 30,000 steel but obviously the price goes down the less the bundle has to give you.It will be up a couple of days after the event ends.
New event order, Apollyon's wrath, sacrifice (kill) as many heroes as you can on endless march.
Hero series update.

Faction war
Last one was a close call, vikings would have taken the second place with the round. Samurai take second and vikings third.
They discussed rewards, they wanted the best of both worlds with the recognizable season reward with the variety between factions. I gave my opinion on this elsewhere, and I tend not to in these posts, but I am honestly kind of disappointed that they have not learned from last season.Yes this is understandable, yes, this is a better way of doing it, but again they have had a switcheroo with rewards without telling us and people, well, samurai, are going to feel annoyed over this, with reason in my view.
Next time Bio is in they will go over faction war changes. Thingslike what happened this season will be hard to happen again, focussing on the last turn of the round will not be enough. They will be going over season 4 stuff from next week. They will go over this next week or after.
Q&A
Is faction war rigged? No,they spent two years on this system.
Bundles have dynamic discounts, so it is correct that 25,000 is the price when the mask is already owned.
Any update on end of round black screen glitch? They have pulled in feedback from reddit. The tech team are investigating. What really would be helpful is if people are getting the freeze frequently with specific times, send uplay ID to Eric and they will be able to look in their logs. Reddit messages are probably the best way to do it.
Mask outfits will be available after the event, price goes up to 20,000.All other stuff you have unlocked is yours but will not be available after that point. 20,000 will be the mask outfit price going forward, it is the new top tier premium cosmetic item.
Have they considered migrating ranked tournament rank into single 1v1 format? They are looking at it, they are not against the idea, they are already going in this direction for ranked 4v4.They like the tournament, they are looking for a best of both worlds solution.
Is there a way to get hold of a soundtrack? They are going to look into this.
Any update on shugoki dying to chip damage when super armour is down? They think this is in the season 4 patch, they will double check.
They are looking at ideas for giving incentives for people to come back to lesser played game modes? They are looking at changes to the games and other ideas, they mentioned looking at spawning in skirmish to prevent the snowball effect as people come back one at a time.
No specific date on reworks, some characters are in a more advanced state than others. There are some characters they are giving more focus to currently, but they are looking at ideas for all OG heroes.
Currently in the works they are looking at Highlander, again no ETA. Fight system is the current main focus.
Lag compensation, they are working on it, they know what they want to do, it will move from here.It was victim to the real world, sometimes people are out of the office, sometimes those people are the people who work on things like this.
Will we get to test ranked 4v4? No, their production schedule over the next season or so is packed, apparently we will be testing something much cooler.
Is thee something that can be done with how matchmaking in dominion works in terms of matching pugs vs groups? Teams should be prioritised,so in theory groups play groups but they will look into it. They did note that bear in mind the skill level has higher priority which can affect things also.
They have no patches planned between now and season 4, the season 4 patch will be a big one.
Why did they remove colour patterns in customisation? They think this is a bug.
They are still working on dedicated servers, updates over the next few weeks.
Community corner
Season 4 info begins next week
Very welcome. In terms of conqueror, when they were discussing reworks, they said there are some characters further ahead of others in terms of motion capture and such, in this, Roman specifically said 'conqueror, kensei, for example' but they still have a way to go in finishing that, integration and then balancing once that is ready. There are no hard dates and their main focus right now is the defensive meta stuff, but there is stuff in the works for the original characters as a whole,Originally Posted by TheLastPandaa Go to original post
I like that they were having fun and in a good mood. I think this rather awesome Halloween content has put both the community and the devs in good spirits, which is nice to see.
I think Bio and Eric need to drop the "let's laugh at the FW conspiracy theory" moments to be honest. Because they're not providing any information whatsoever that tells us more about how the Faction War works. Having a penchant for weaponised sarcasm is all well and good up to a point. But it's not a good look when you literally tell us nothing about the in-depth mechanics of the FW and just go into defensive mode, "Yeah, it's a conspiracy. We rigged it. Sure, sure.", instead of explaining it to us. I genuinley want to know how the Knights put up such a strong performance this Season. What where they doing that the other 2 factions weren't? I want to know so I can employ the same tactics and try to help my faction win the next season.
Bio only mentioned that they used their assets much better than the Samurai and the Vikings. But what exactly does that mean? It's a very vague explanation and doesn't help anyone to learn how to "git gud" at the Faction War. Apparrently the Knights have it figured out and down to an art form judging by the absolute rofl stomp they just handed out. So what have they figured out? What's the secret? Do I need to infiltrate Deus Vult Incorporated's Discord channel and spy on them just to get an answer. A more in-depth break down and even a blow by blow analysis by Bio would have been much appreciated.
Apart from that the den this week was quite fun and had a lot of info. Good to know that Kensei and Conq will be among the first to get new moves.
Agreed about how they should or shouldn't handle this somewhat delicate topic. As for what the Knights' recipe for success was - I haven't the slightest clue. The only thing I learned about the FW is that it seems to be going better for my faction (Knight since open beta) the less ****s I personally give. In S1 I manually placed hundreds of thousands of assets, with thought put into each such deploy, and we lost everything. By S3 I'd stopped giving any **** about it altogether and didn't manually deploy even once, and the Knights went on to curb stomp everyone all season long.Originally Posted by Vakris_One Go to original post
How about those ****S in the warrior's den get off their lazy asses and stop adding ****ty filler to their piece of **** game and actually let me play just for one evening without disconnecting. At this point I'm ready to overlook all the glaring and ridiculously stupid design choices if they could just get their godamn game to work. **** you Ubi, I should have refunded the game when I had the chance but now that money is long gone.
