While I would normally agree that the end consumer assumes most of the responsibility for his/her purchase, I totally disagree about pushing the responsibility on the customer in this particular case. The DLCS to be included in the season pass were characterized as "expansions to the game", normally that entails functionality with the main game. That was not the case with either Narco Road or Fallen Ghosts, as they can only be played separately from the main campaign.
Fallout New Vegas is another open world shooter which featured a season pass, but it's DLCs were true expansions, integrating into the main game. What we got with Wildlands' season pass amounts to just a couple of side-games, which have 0 compatibility with the main game. It wouldn't be a stretch to say consumers were deceived in this instance, below are links to articles from 3rd party publications(which sourced their info from Ubisoft) and official Ubisoft trailers, all using the word "expansion".

I totally agree .. To me, these dlc are a joke and almost an insult.Originally Posted by Dont_Tell_Mom Go to original post
Why people pre-order anything is a mystery to me .. no matter if it's a series you're crazy about.
They should open up for modders. because they have obvious problems with fixing bugs, performance problems etc .. 7 months in and we have not come very far.
I know there are many who want a lot of weapons and cosmetics. I think that's just a wrong focus. I want actions that open up the world, that is, actions that change it. such as bass building, rope to get up and down of buildings, mountains. help the cities around, establish security zones ..
I could go on...
There are a lot of great ideas in the forum that they could use. I just do not think anything happens in that direction. The main studio has moved on and is doing something new. either a wildland two or something else but because of this title i'm extremely skeptical. It requires a reboot or production time that Assassin's Creed origins went through if they follow the same style.
In future, I also wish they are honest and dropping to call demos for beta .. as it is obviously a lie. But it's not only coined with ubisoft, it's the whole industry that obviously uses the same terms. And people should stop defending this practice, with (but it's a beta a things will change..bla bla)
We should be honest with ourselves and stop blindly support. I know it's not funny that one's favorite genre might not live up to one's hype or something else. But constructive criticism is now even the way forward, not painting itself into the corner and attacking everything and everyone who criticizes a game. Wildlands have good things no doubt! But there is also a lot of things that can be done better! All in all, Wildlands are for me, a mixed experience .. and thus I'm suspicious in the future of Tom Clancy Title, as I think they all lack a vision of what they are.
