    Black Screen / Freeze at End of Match: We need your help

    Hey all,

    Some of you have been struggling with a bug for a while now, where a black screen / freeze happens at the end of a match. This requires you to restart your game and come back in, and is annoying as heck when it happens. I had a meeting with our tech team last week and we came away with a number of questions they'd like me to ask those affected, in hopes of solving this once and for all. So if you are one of the users affected by this, please take a moment to answer these questions:

    1. What platform are you on?
    2. If you are PC, please provide your system specs.
    3. Does this happen to you frequently or rarely? If frequently, please DM me your Uplay ID and we can check the logs on your profile.
    4. When the black screen occurs, do you hear the audio running behind it, or is it a true freeze?
    5. When it happens, are you playing in a group or solo?
    6. When exactly does it happen in the match?

    Yeah i just wanted to ask that (posted accidently in Rainbow forum)

    1. PC
    2. (what i cant upload dxdiag....) i5-4460 / 12 GB RAM / 1070 GTX / WIN 10
    3. What is frequently... i got that in the last 10 days just now - before that i could happen every 7th game
    4. Freeze
    5. Noticed it only in group matches.
    6. Right at the end - after the hud vanished - right before the loot screen etc.

    1. I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bits
    2. Well I don't have a powerful rig, but I can run it pretty smoothly on lowest settings and achieve 20-30 fps stable. The CPU is an AMD A4-6300 3.7 Ghz, GPU is a GT 630 from GIGABYTE with 4 GB and I have 8 GB ram. Here is a screenshot just in case.
    3. Hmm, I would say rarely, I played two or three matches without any crash/error type.
    4. No, It's like a infinite loading screen.
    5. No, solo... I tried all the gamemodes, even the tutorial. Still happend.
    6. At the finish of the match or round-switch.

    Thank you and hope it will be fixed till 2018... I really want to buy this game.

    EDIT: I know some of you guys will think that is because of my rig... but this happens to alot of people, including the person above me, who got a monster of gaming pc... I played RS6 without problems, GTA 5, BF4 and even AC: Unity.

    3.happens frequently ..guys happens to me at least once a day to about 3-4 times per day ( I play a lot btw)6-12 hours a day.
    4.true freeze never had a black screen
    5.this does not really matter
    6. at the end of the match just before the score comes up.

    I think i know what the problem is ...most people try to do winning emotes but there is not enough time to complete the emotes before the screen goes over the score card. so the system tries to finish the emotes but then carries over to the end screen..and you have a freeze. happend to me and i see it frequently...hope this helps.

    So I tried to do a emote just before the score screen comes up and walla it froze again...it must be the issue!

    I have 10 min for post....

    same here for me freezing at the end.
    But srsly
    1: Win, no reward...
    2 : Wait like 4-5 min for something, nothing happen...
    3: time for leave, thanks for 10min of ban..

    2. AMD Phenom 965 4x3,4 GHZ, 8GB RAM, Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 2GB, Windows 10 64-Bit
    3. Happens frequently
    4. No audio in the background
    5. It only happens in Dominion, I am not in a group
    6. It freezes at the end of the game right before the minions kill each other in the ending sequence

    Emotes have nothing to do with it, sometimes I emotespam and nothing happens. On other times I dont play the emote and it freezes anyway.

    16GB RAM
    GPU GTX 970
    Game is on HDD

    Maybe once a day or 2 days, feel free to check my logs.

    No audio, just the last picture sent by the game.

    Solo

    Right before the Victory mark, right after the last kill of the breaking team.

    3. Very frequently, actualy 1/3 matches only dom,
    4. Freeze
    5. only in group matches, vs player or vs AI, NEVER in Solo
    6. Right at the end, after the "victory/defeat" label

    Hi,

    with season 4 almost started, it doesn't look like the problem is going to fixed anytime soon?
    Wouldn't it be great if as a temporary workaround people would still get match rewards and order progress even tough they crash at the victory/defeat screen?
    The freeze wouldn't be as frustrating as it is when all it causes would be that I have to restart my game, but as it is I loose about 1/4 of the rewards and progress.
    I think that at least getting a workaround in place for a problem that is known for several months would just be fair towards people who invested both time and money in your game.
