Will Farcry ever have full campaign coop mode?

I love far cry, but I get awful giddy thinking about how would be if you could play the campaign mode in cooperative with your friends? Will this ever happen?

Far Cry 5 WILL let you play the whole campaign with a friend in cooperative mode.

    INFO HERE

The down side is that only one persons stats will be recorded (unless things change between now and launch that's the info available right now)
Would love to see it go 4 player coop in campaign like Ghost recon - maybe Far Cry 6 will give us that.

This was a straight one. I wish half of the threads would be that easy to answer.

Then the forum would never have any actual discussion and every thread would pose a question that's easily answered within a few responses and forgotten.

Nah. It's better to have forgotten threads that have been answered rather than unanswered ones and still forgotten.

I suppose it depends on the question. This one is very common knowledge that with a 10 second google search OP could've answered himself. Some questions have a bit more depth & nuance, like "what are the cult's ultimate end game?" There are also open ended questions to the community like what weapons we'd like to see, new skills, or what vehicles we hope for.... I'd rather have a lot of discussion about those sort of things...

Also, seeing only the hosting player can accept/pick missions, the coop partner seems to just be a hired gun who got on a train & shoots out the windows.

I don't think this is quite accurate. It sounds to me like the only thing the 'guest' player does not keep is mission specific unlocks, progression & reputation.

    A. The player invited in the host’s game is essentially a “Friend for Hire”. When you join a co-op game as a guest, you are playing in your host’s world and help them progress.
This means that once you leave the co-op mode after a game as a Friend for Hire, you do not keep the World Progression completed during the co-op session. However, you keep your own Player Progression – XP, in-game currency, inventory items, and more – once you leave the co-op game and are back in your own world.

    Q. What progression is not saved when I am playing co-op as a guest?
    A. As the guest, your World Progression, Reputation, and Quest related unlocks are not saved once you are back to your own world.

    Q. What is the Player Progression?
    A. The Player Progression is your personal progression including your XP, your in-game currency, your inventory items, your items purchased in the shop, your challenges completed, etc. Some specific items unlocked during quests in co-op will not be saved after leaving the co-op session.
Both host player and Friend for Hire keep their Player Progression in co-op.
XP being part of 'player progression' means you retain any XP you earn even when playing as a guest....

Well imagine inviting someone to your game and them going and activating missions you didn't want to do just yet, I think they made it this way to avoid such instances. It makes sense to me to let the person who's world you're in be in control of what missions or activities can or can't be completed...
