Ghost war is a tatical, strategic shooter. 4v4 is the sweetspot for for type of gameplay. 8v8 would turn the game into more of a run and gun, and you would lose a lot of the strategic elements. It would literally flip the whole mood and atmosphere of the game on its head. I could elaborate on why, but it would just get really wordy. I will just say that I think im on the same page as ubisoft on this one. If you want a game that has some similarities but more players, go check out battlefield 1.
You had me up to Battelfield. Now your reaching and exagerating.

Part if me feels with all of the hoopla of gadgets, features, perks ect 8v8 "may" be a bit much for this game BUT, in a custom match where most of these gadgets and features will be disabled, it will work.

I say let the players decide. Try it out. To be honest, believe it or not, what made PvP special besides the game itself. Online gaming is also a platform to meet people and socialize. Meet new people, have a good time, shoot the **** and win games! Goes a long way and it only being 4v4 is killing that vibe. IMO.

I disagree. I think 4v4 enhances the vibe. Much easier to make friends when its just 3 others on my team than 7. If they went to 8v8 Id prolly lose a lot of interest in the game because of how hard a shift it would be to the atmosphere of the game.

Well, thats where options are golden in this situation. 4v4 6v6 8v8. Sure wish there were lobbies. That way we play the way we like.

And with the roadmap mapped out already I do not see it happening, player count or lobbies.

Yeah, the roadmap is vague at best (at least the one I saw). Personally, I think I'm done at this point. Between the bugs, the gameplay and the month long wait between things getting fixed and/or implemented, I am going to shelve GRW / GW for now.

To be honest, once FC5 comes out, that will likely take my attention completely away from GRW / GW until RDR 2 arrives in spring. .....really looking forward to that one and so are my co-op friends.

Well, somehow Zipper Inc had it right when they made their popular tactical shooter exclusive for Sony in 2002 on PS2 with regular and custom lobbies, 1v1, 2v2, 4v4, 8v8 and 16v16 etc all of which utilized both servers and hosted player rooms; they used large maps and objectives like breach, bomb plant, hostage escort, elimination, hostage extraction and convoy extraction all of which was a very successful tactical shooter. This can be done on a modern game as well.

This is still possible on this game with either 4v4, 8v8 or even 16v16. The way you do it is.....without revives "One life only" this forces everypne to value that life and move towards the objective using tactics and not rum and gun. Take their revive and they will change their gameplay.

Look at the convoy below it's a 4v4 we can do it utilizing a whole province in the wildlands.

    https://youtu.be/-0wfglQfOvo - Hostage rescue

    https://youtu.be/ObzpjZb5x50 -breach objective

    https://youtu.be/9MqyR6WC6y4 -convoy extraction

If it was done right years ago with old technology then it can be done better now. Ubi has the best game right now to start it. Tactical shooters can come back and make a difference from run and gun FPS'.

Well i would like i a unicorn! Riding with unicorn in bushes and stabing ppl😎
763% stamina when rideing it and and and three guns in two hands😊😊😊
And when Your on a unicorn, theres no hip fire. Unicorn can fly up to five drones and they can kill enemys like nuke would!
Ok, when can i have it?

If socom was ever remade or they made a game like socom 3 or confrontation it would blow tjis game away . Socom was good but they screwed it up qhen they went to ps3. They shoulda kept to its routes . The post above is a good example of some ideas that this game should follow .

Honestly I say this game is Confrontation part 2. Just updated.

I love hearing people say how 4v4 is Strategic LOL.
    Amen to this...

My initial thought when I first played it in the closed beta.

Now lets hope for a demolition game mode and custom ranked rooms!
