- Fix the guns - Use the AK-12 as a benchmark as it's the only gun that's enjoyable to use. Up player HP to compensate for actual guns being in the game if necessary
- Consolidate the classes, too many useless filler classes like diversionist. Have 4 archetypes (Assault, Marksman, Support and Drone specialist) and let us pick our kit
- Don't just remove thermal, remove night maps - Stop giving players the incentive to camp, games are too slow and drawn out
- Coupled with the above, make the recon tower accessible immediately
Assault specialist should be the suppression mastery class, 2 branches are to either have advanced suppression or suppression immunity (WTF is advanced suppression doing in marksman??)
Marksman as it is, get wall penetration working
Drone specialist should be able to pick between scout drone and medic drone
Support should have a choice between mortar and recon tower traits (jammer + faster activation)
I agree with getting rid of Thermal and consolidating some of the classes as you pretty much see the same 4 classes being used. But removing night maps. No thanks, it adds another element to the game playing in the dark with lights bluring your vision and or lighting up an area. Systematically taking out the lights you enemy wondering whether you are taking that path or not.
On another note a 6v6 or 8v8 would have more classes used in one game.
Didn't even know you could shoot the lights, never tried. (Probably because the suppressed pistol is limp and takes 10+ rounds to destroy anything)
5 or 6v6 I think MIGHT work but definitely not 8v8 given the size of the maps. I don't think the solution to the class bloat is anything more than just consolidating the classes.
I'm not sure why developers feel the need to cram their game full of excess instead of making a well refined product in the first place. Seems like the marketing team makes the core design decisions ie: "We HAVE to advertise 30 classes, even if 25 of them are anaemic!"
"Cater for everyone and we will all be happy. "
I wish I could agree with this sentiment but it's rarely the case. You cannot appeal to such a broad audience and still have a good product. They just have to find their target audience and refine the experience.
Finding that though? Why not rapidly iterate test patches, do 6v6 and 8v8 weekends and take stats? Digital products aren't immune to mock-ups.

Heath is already to high as is... this is Ghost Recon.. not Battlefield or Call of Duty bullet spounge gameplay.... if you get taken off guard you should die with no chance to survive or fight back.
Class's are there to allow you to know the capabilities.of the class's... you remove limits you will get AR/DMR snipers everywhere... they said more class and unlocks will happen.
The thermal comment tell's me you lack understanding on the issue or experience with them... as clear daylight maps are where they are the most effective, especially right now for snipers. If they only make them good for short to medium range class's like the assassin and scout be come even more effective then they are now... and they are very powerful as is. Thats why so many want thermals removed.
Hell no on the recon tower change... there is already enough hand holding with drones, shooting indicators, marking and such.. its supposed to be a tactical shooter... not some run and gun game.
Totally agree.Originally Posted by Old_Mufasa Go to original post
First of all you can't even spell sponge so I think CoD is more your thing than mine.
The definition of a trash game is having no chance to respond to getting shot. That's zero skill input.
CoD and BF both have LOWER HP than this game so please take your garbage analogy and stick it.
I use thermal all the time and dominate redditors with them. I have no issue with them - Just saying they can take them if you want.

Class's = Classes mate. Hard to take your points seriously when you can't put it across with any dignity.
You want the game to be esoteric so you can feed your ego, but it doesn't change that 'hand holding' makes a game smoother and more polished to play. The game is not 'tactical' it's a total camp simulator for people to play with one hand while they pleasure themselves.
There's nothing tactical about hiding in a bush, as much as it might appeal to you.
I suggest before you dismiss everything that doesn't make you rock hard as 'CoD' that you go actually play the game so you can see how stupid that comment is)
