What has happened to revenge I wonder and why hasn't it been adressed in the latest patch?
Since 1.13 or the hotfix I believe revenge seems to be not working as the latest official patch notes to that topic state:
Revenge State Update (v1.11)
-Revenge Activation is now immune to Melee Attacks.
-While in Revenge, Attacks won’t be interrupted by Melee attacks.
-While in Revenge, Melee Attacks* no longer Unbalance.
-While in Revenge, Shield Boost has been increased from 50 to 70.
Immunity on revenge activation is not in place anymore (several times confirmed as embracing Shugoki), meele attacks (bashes, shoves, jabs, etc.) can interrupt somebody in revenge right from the start and at any given time. Normal attacks stagger and interrupt. Revenge gain seems fine to me, even better working in 1.14.1 than in the last couple of patches before against two or three enemies, however if you happen to use a slow character you often find yourself screwed if your revenge activation is not on point to give you some space.

Note that at least after the parry I should have gotten an attack off but instead was interrupted by the attack of the Gladiator
