    Same Issue

Did you ever get this issue resolved? I'm currently experiencing the same thing on my computer, the only thing that has worked is re-verifying my game files every time I want to play again and it is a massive inconvenience since that takes about 10 to 15 minutes.

Yes I did get a reply from Ubisoft Support Staff
This is what there told me to do

Thanks for contacting Ubisoft Customer Support, my name is João and I will be here to assist you on this matter.

I would like to start by apologising for the time that has taken to respond to your ticket. We aim to reply within 48 hours, but we have received a larger than normal amount of contacts.

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with Ghost Recon: Wildlands, I can assure you that I'm going to do my best in order to provide you with a resolution for this case.

    Just in case you weren't aware, we have a large set of self-help guides and FAQ's via our support page (support.ubi.com). Just enter keywords relating to your issue to see suggestions. If you would like me to assist you directly, please can you try the following;

    1. Disable Background Applications:

To check there is no conflict with other applications and the game, please try disabling your background applications (Temporarily disable any unnecessary programs and also any anti-virus / firewall software):

If you are using Windows 8/10, start-up programs can be disabled through the task manager. Press CTRL + ALT + DELETE to go the task manager and go to the start-up tab.

If using a previous version of Windows, go to the Start menu on your desktop (or, if using Windows Vista/Windows 7 press the Windows key and the letter R at the same time)

    - Type in MSCONFIG and press Enter
    - Go to the tab, which says Start-up
    - Click the option to Disable All
    - Press Apply, then Close then pick the option to Restart

    2. Clear your temporary files:

To do this, go to the Start menu on your desktop (or, if using Windows Vista/Windows 7 press the Windows key and the letter R at the same time)
Type in %TEMP% and press enter.
Go to Edit and Select All.
    Go to File and Delete.
NOTE: If you are using Windows 7, to highlight the files you will need to press Ctrl + A together. Once the files are highlighted, you will need to press the Delete key.

    3. Make sure the drivers for your video card are up to date
It's important that the components of your machine have the most up to date drivers. If they do not, then you may experience several different issues. To update your video and sound card drivers, you should visit your manufacturer’s website
If you have a laptop, you need to visit the laptop manufacturer’s website to update all drivers.

    4. Please verify the game files integrity
To verify the game files, we recommend running the Uplay client as administrator to do this:

    1. Completely exit Uplay.
    2. Right-click on the shortcut which you use to launch Uplay.
    3. Select the 'Compatibility' tab.
    4. Tick the 'Run as Administrator' box.
    5. Select 'OK'

    To verify the game files:

    1. Launch Uplay.
    2. Select the 'Games' tab at the top of the window.
    3. Click on the game tile within your games library.
    4. Select "Properties".
    5. Under "Local Files", choose the "Verify Files" option.

If an issue is found you will be given the option to Repair, click Repair. After repairing the issue, please verify the game again until no issues are found. When this has been completed you can then try the game again.

In the meantime, if you have any further issues, please do not hesitate to contact me.

    Kind regards,
    João
    Ubisoft Customer Support

It worked once for me only then I have to re-verify the game each time I what to play

    Hello ImHereToRektPpl,

Thank you for reaching Ubisoft Customer Support.

My name is Mário and I will be taking over your case in order to assist you.

After analysing the information that you have sent us, I will ask you to disable MSI Kombustor 3, MSI Kombustor 2.5, MSI Gaming APP and MSI\Live Update. Also please disable Shadowrun as well.

If this does not help please try to do a clean boot to see if this helps running the game.

When I try to launch Wildlands it says "Launch Error. Debugger has been detected. Please unload it and try again." I played Wildlands in the free weekend and after the free weekend finished I didn't uninstall it. After 2 weeks I bought the game and when I tried to launch it, it gave me that error and I uninstalled it, after that I had an error and I couldn't install it again, I reinstalled Uplay and then I downloaded the game again hoping that I wouldn't get that message again and I still get it after I reinstalled Uplay and Wildlands, What should I do?

All we can do is prompt the developers to do something.I have 15 Uplay games and all no problem.Except GRW from the moment Patch 8.2 finished downloading.

GAME WON'T LAUNCH (this workaround solved the problem for me)

    .
WORKAROUND ALLOWS ME TO PLAY GAME NOW:

(From my reply on Steam Discussion thread but see several threads have been started on this topic; hope this might help others not having success with any other solutions).

Verifying files in Steam did provide a temporary fix for my problem, as did doing a complete re-install. I traced my problem to two dll files that keep getting corrupted; no idea why. I just made copies of the dll files and saved them to another folder and every time they get corrupted I delete the corrupted ones and replace them with the original copies that are not corrupted. No idea why the files keep being corrupted, and eventually I may look harder to figure out why this is happening but this slightly cumbersome workaround solves my problem for now and allowed me to go back to playing the game.

    GFSDK_SSAO_D3D11.win64.dll
    GFSDK_TurfEffects.win64

(Previously I tried several of the suggested solutions in various ubisoft and steam forums including looking at rebooting, restarting steam, logging out and back in to steam, same with uplay, checking firewall settings, running under (a different) admin account (i'm running it under an account with admin privileges already); uninstall uplay and re-install uplay, updated geforce graphics drivers, also did uninstall and re-install of wildlands game which let it run once but since then clicking on "Play" or game it will say "running" for a few seconds but then nothing happens after that.)
