    Buff up NPCs?

    I haven't played much since the last GE, yesterday I tried Survival twice and the NPCs did like incredible damage in both sessions. I wasn't being crazy aggressive like I was in the GE, so I was a bit surprised at how hard they hit.

    yeah, i did Warrengate last night and it was just stupid. Between getting stuck in the Jesus pose for 10 minutes and the NPCs going batcrap crazy, and getting one shot by snipers which NEVER happens so we just ended up quitting a mission we murder all the time with little issue. Its was like the code was degrading in front of my very eyes, getting shot through multiple walls, phantom grenades and the 100% accuracy of blind fire is just dumb. I logged in, played WG for a bit then logged out, not sure ill be back until 1.8 as the DZ is a cheaters dream and the servers get worse daily.

    I haven't noticed the difference, but the NPCs need tuning.
    The NPC balance has been getting worse every patch since 1.4.
    1.4 was the best NPC balance I've seen, but also the least challenging.

    There is a very noticeable damage difference since the last patch dropped. My guess is that this is in antcipation of players having more health in 1.8.

    I've had to slightly alter my build to fit the increase in damage because I'm suddenly being downed during missions that I previously floated through. NPC accuracy also seems buffed and I think the range on NPC weapons is ridiculous: doing a standard Lincoln run yesterday, I was melted by a rioters SMG at over 40 metres.

    I have just been playing Warrengate on Legendary... the NPCs shoot through walls, have 100% accuracy, spongey as hell and for some reason every NPC type rushes you on sight if they are within a distance of up to 50m. Why a sniper or medic LMB would sprint all the way from the back of the room to the front and down everyone with a couple of melees is beyond me..it feels like there has been some stealth buffs. The difference is noticable only quite recently though.

    Have used the same build to easily get through legendary and heroic missions for ages but as of late it seems more of a struggle.

    It's happening right now. Npcs are one-shooting the whole time after the checkpoint. I die from everything at one shoot. Grenade bullets launchers and the people's melee have gone insane. How massive huh?

    There is literally no point in threads like this. Even though we all KNOW something fishy is going on, they will always deny it.

    Its like talking to my kids.

    These developers are habitual line steppers.

    Crit chance cap anyone? No not us, nothing to see here...... oh ok, you caught us red handed.

    It doesn't matter.

    Players are not allowed to feel powerful, or even on the same footing as NPCs since PVE is the red headed step child of the bastard PVP the devs keep pushing to keep the game afloat.

    So, we will be just as weak, if not weaker in 1.8, and until the game dies.

    There is literally no point in threads like this. Even though we all KNOW something fishy is going on, they will always deny it.
    QFT.

    I would not be upset if they just admitted, "Hey, some of the legacy code mistakenly made into the current build, so NPCs are hitting harder and more accurately than they should be. We are aware of it and it will be fixed in the next patch". Everybody makes mistakes.

    However, the fact they keep denying it tells me one of two things:

    1) They don't even play / test their own game, especially the PVE part.

    2) They do play / test their own game and are just incompetent.

    Neither of these two things is something you want a AAA development team doing, but it would explain why TD never had a chance to live up to its full potential and never will?
