SUGGESTION
I think that adding the ability to allow more than 4 people in a session is going to bring a lot of opportunities for MILSIM-groups and probably would be a lot more fun. I guess if it was added, Wildlands would probably be a upgraded version of Arma 3. It will not just allow for more fun, but will open up more opportunities for roleplaying.
Anyone else think this is a good idea?
The original Ghost Recon followed the US Army's Special Forces Group 5 and reflected that with a team of 6 which was the size if the Operational Detachment Alpha's of the time.
The team of 4 in Wildlands reflects the western Tier 1 Special Operations Forces team of today.
If bigger teams appeal why not play something else like Squad?
Or like you already suggested: ARMA 3?
I would be nice if it was 5v5 to accommodate the R6:Siege team that Ive been rolling with for the past 2 years. Now we (my 2 sons and 2 ps4 mates) have to decide who's going solo with randoms.
Did the dev team not realize that the established teams of R6 would want to play together?
Easy tiger. I think a team of six would be good for gameplay and stay roughly within the Ghost Recon theme.Originally Posted by VIPER--00 Go to original post
However, bigger teams would be better played in different games.
Wildlands does 'best-out-of-3' 8 minute pvp fairly well. Bigger teams may even result in shorter rounds and potentially be harder to fill.
Just a thought.
You just articulated that perfectly. I agree completely.Originally Posted by VIPER--00 Go to original post
I think its not intended to be bigger than 4 players, however, especially now the pvp is launched, me and my friends are constantly fighting over who gets to play and who don't. we always end up with 5 or 6 people which means a couple can't play along. If there would be a other game mode which allows you to play with more friends then I think it would also attract a larger player base
