Agents, incoming State of the Game transmission:

During the last State of the Game, Community Developer Petter Mårtensson was joined by Creative Director Terry Spier and Lead Game Designer Keith Evans from Red Storm Entertainment to discuss PTS2 Patch Notes and notable changes that were made from PTS1.

This week, Petter discussed the status of the console PTS and was joined by Gameplay Programmer Sam Collier and Lead Game Designer Mark Russell from Ubisoft Reflections to discuss all things Global Events.

If you missed the stream, you check out the VoD and if you are on currently on the move, you can also catch up using the Podcast Recap!

Console PTS went live earlier this week! If you were in the 1.7 PTS, you can test the new content now. For everyone who did not test the 1.7 PTS, invites are scheduled to go out tonight, CEST.

We heard your feedback regarding the recent Tactician’s changes! As a result, the turret is reverting back as a method to increase Skill Power. Weapons will still be a faster way to increase the SP bonus, but we may tune this change later.

We are excited that everyone enjoyed Global Event Assault! Our goal with these events is to shake up the meta as much as possible and offer different gameplay to spice things up.

Sam and Mark offered insight into the next two Global Events—Strike and Ambush, with the latter already available for testing on the PTS. During Ambush, emphasis is placed on stationary gameplay. While players are immobile, a bar will fill that correlates to a damage increase. The fuller the bar, the more damage Agents will do against enemies. The bar decreases as players not only move but also get closer to allies, and the damage boost drains as a result. During Strike, players will also have to spread out during missions. Killed enemies will drop grenades that will damage both NPCs and players in the vicinity. If players do not mitigate the damage they receive, they will explode themselves.

We made some changes to the Global Event tokens earned from Clear Sky, Lexington, and Amherst. The base GE token reward for completing these missions has been lowered due to them being easily farmable. The bonus tokens earned from GE modifiers are unchanged. We hope that other missions during Global Events will become viable farming options with this change, but keep in mind that things are still subject to change on the PTS.

Again, Console PTS invites for those who haven’t played the 1.7 PTS are being sent out tonight, CEST.

We are holding a Dark Zone Event next weekend, October 21-22. Players will receive extra rewards from Dark Zone supply drops on October 21, and supply drops will drop more frequently on October 22.

PTS Phase 3 is confirmed, but we have no date to offer just yet. The patch notes will be posted closer to PTS3 release.

We encourage everyone to post their feedback on the PTS Forums. Update 1.8 is shaping up to be a great addition to The Division, and we attribute that to all the input from the community.

As always, be sure to join us over on the Official Forums or on the community Reddit if you’re looking for a place to discuss all things related to The Division.

    Until next time!

If you have the PTS from 1.7, you don't need a new code or download for 1.8.
Just open up the PTS for 1.7 and it is now 1.8

im probably the only one here that thinks like that but ear me out. In my opinion if the division 2 isnt coming out soon , i would love to have the dark zone being able to be played in PVE , we can agree the end game is mostly played in the dark zone but not everyone loves to PVP , doesnt give us really a choice if you think about it , dark zone has different servers if you hop in hop out and hop back in , so why not have a server dedicated for PVE players who only want to roam in this beautiful dark place ?

guys like this game right now?

I tried it for a while with a friend's account but it didn't convince me much enough to buy it for myself.... Although lately I've heard that it has changed a lot with respect to the beginning, so I'm considering buying it...

I found it very cheap because of the typical cd keys stores (like g2a or instantgaming, kinguin,...) so I wonder if it's worth spending 13€ on Amazon or waiting longer?
