I played fc2 upon release and had a ball on single player, but the multiplayer was by far my favorite of all time of any game. The fc2 multiplayer community was absolutely the best. Ubisoft abandoned the dedicated servers which ruined the multiplayer community. Should Ubi do a remake of FC2, I would hope and pray that they bring back the lobby system and allow dedicated servers. The 2010 maps for FC2 were some of the most creative and fun to play. There were thousands and with dedicated servers the server admin always were having different maps so everything was fresh. That is what I miss most about FPS games nowadays, you have about 4-5 maps that you play over and over. FC2 game mode of Capture the DIamond is still the best I have ever experienced of any game mode from any game. IF you had the diamond your adrenalline was super high trying to return it to your base as well as trying to recapture your diamond if the enemy had it. With dedicated servers there were a lot of clan v clan tournaments where actual prizes were awarded. I met a lot of good people from all over the world that were fun to play with. aah, I could go on and on about how enjoyable fc2 was, I miss it soooo much!

But I have been thinking about this for *years*.

I would love to see FC2 dropped into FC4's systems, with only the story remaining the same.. perhaps a 'classic mode' for hardcore fans.. I just want to *finally* finish the story, which I did not feel I could do due to the huge maps and constant respawns of enemies.

FC4 was a masterpiece.. had they implemented the dual morality.. imho it would have been even greater, a 'watershed' game. Fallout has a similar morality system (specifically new vegas) but FC4.. was *so* integrated to the morality of your character..people would have remembered FC4.. other Devs would have remembered FC4.. as the Watershed of morality in video games for a generation.

I would like to see:
FC4's systems and balance (except if playing in 'Classic Mode')
FC5's engine and graphics
FC2's story and map..

I'd pay £24.99 for that.. flip I may even pay £30.. for a game who's original version I already own.(Steam)

I dunno.. I looked around the internet and there are LOADS of people wanting a FC2 remake/remaster .. why is Ubi not wanting our money?

Indeed, fc2 is still popular in that a ton of people would like a remaster/remake.

Please Ubisoft! Please remaster Far Cry 2! There's a large number of gamers who are still playing FC2 and those who want the game remastered to current or next gen consoles. There's a petition on Change.org for you to re-release FC2. http://chng.it/KwrJm8wD

Please Ubisoft, pretty please remaster Far Cry 2 for current gen consoles (PS4, upcoming PS5, XBOX X, even the Switch) this is one of the greatest shooters ever created. I fell in love with it the day it came out and it’s still one of my top 10 favorite games ever made. So please do us fans a favor and remaster it. Hell, I’d pay $100 for it as long as it happened.

I would love to see FC2 acctually "remade" on FC4/5 gameplay mechanics & graphic, not a simple "remaster" with upgraded textures and animations.

It should include:
- rock climbing (apart from this a bit ridiciulous throwing of anchor-ended rope) to reach elevated vantage points;
- more focus on stealth, with additioal camouflage gear;
- more civilian citizens of UAC around, not only in several buildings;
- more wildlife, esspecially some predators (lion packs, hayenas, cheetah, crocodiles), and also some potentially dengerous herbivores (hippos, elephants, buffalos) - but please, no holster or slings crafting from animal skins;
- more REALLY old guns, like WW2 era russian Mosin rifles, Nagnat revolvers, hunting double barrel shotguns;
- minimal avalibility of modern, high quality guns like AR platform, semi-auto shotguns or polimer framed pistols; such guns should be availible only as single-pice-per-playtrough mission/collectible rewards, that cannot be "re-bought" at vendor - just like the golden AK's in original where;
- more self-healing animations concerning more body parts than arms and legs;
- bigger area of operation (but that's obvious ) afterall UAC should be a whole country, that should have some civilian city's, settelments, fields etc.;

Things to keep from the original:
- overall story, with some minor alternations due to improved mechanincs in movement and reachable places;
- weapon detoration and jams;
- MALARIA!!, (some other diseasses can be added )
- hand-held map;

That's just my quick wish-list.

I'm stil playing the first Far Cry and Far Cry 2 on the PS3, I would love to play them on my PS4 and PS5.
