It's definitely an important feature for a lot of people, and I hope it ends up being included.
Weird enough, I don't think I've really used the feature in previous games much. Outside of trying to 100% games, I've typically preferred just playing the story chronologically. Though, I still think it'd be nice to have the option.

I just discovered that my XBox failed to record a gameclip of my mission last night. It was an epic struggle and took everything in me to complete. Today when I tried to show my kids the clip (I am an old man) I was horrified to discover that no clip had been saved. To make matters worse, I now learn that there is no way to replay the mission. This was my first Xbox, and I purchased it to play this game. I’ll never touch it again. I’m giving the whole mess away.
