There’s not really any good reason to not implement this feature since all the other games have it, and really decreases the replay value especially when there’s no new game +.
I understand there’s no full synch thing going on now, but I think most people replay missions just to relive the best moments of the game, and try out different approaches to missions. It kinda sucks if we get all sorts of endgame gear, but only have a couple missions to play with it, one of the best things about the older games was playing previous missions with all your upgraded gear.
Even if they don’t let you replay the side missions, you should at least be able to replay the main ones.
I just really hope Ubi can add this back, I don’t want to be making a new save file for every mission I play...
I read somewhere that there's no more 100% sync in memories and that you can't replay a memory.
(didn't watch ACO videos on youtube, just not to spoil the game, so i don't know much)
Is this true?
I mean, if there's no memory replay there can't be 100% sync, right?
And i like that 100% sync challenge in all AC games so i will miss that.
What do you guys/girls think?
(if there's already thread about this somewhere on the forum, please move this one there, i did search but didn't find anything)
Yeah, it really didn't make sense in AC, since the framework was so obviously there. You could do it in AC1, and in AC2 you can even view completed memories in the DNA menu (and even replay some side missions like tombs) but you couldn't restart completed story missions.
I can kind of understand why they don't have it in Origins; as an RPG, there's a bit more to consider when going back to lower-level missions (namely, you could just demolish Lvl 1 enemies with Lvl 40 gear). I still think they should do it, though; if you want to be able to just straight-up wreck enemies in levels you've already completed, you should be able to do that IMO. That can be kind of fun in its own way.
Also, it's been confirmed that there are multiple save slots in Origins, so at the very least, you won't have to delete your old save to replay the game, like Unity and Syndicate idiotically forced you to do.
I would imagine you could always leave the game after each mission and save then find the save file and copy it to another folder and rrename it so you would identify it. Then you'd have a folder full of saves that you could just copy and paste back into the save folder before you start the game and replay them.
But to be honest, I think the reason that a lot of people get series or game fatigue is the constant replays to get 100% in missions and far too many collectables and achievements. I find replaying a game is the best way to keep it fresh rather than replaying each mission 2,3 or 10 times in a row just to get the 100& synch... maybe Ubi has removed it so people do not get so frustrated.
Yeah what I’m saying is that manually saving files is a pain and they can add mission replay without any of the full sync stuff, so people can just enjoy replaying the mission for what it is. Wrecking low lvl enemies with high lvl gear also shouldn’t be restricted, since you have already gone through the level legitimately
