In For Honor there's a fair few game modes and I am aware of the Tribute mode that is up and coming (not sure if it will/has come with today's update, I haven't been home) but I was thinking that it would be interesting if they added in a free for all death-match. In Elimination its a best of 3 to see which team is left standing but what about if we take all 8 players, slap on their neutral color schemes, make each their own team, and the last person standing in a round gets the point for the round. It would be like Brawl however, with no on-the-map power ups, so each person only has their one health bar a round without a chance to refill it to keep matches from lasting forever. Ubi could use the Elimination maps and spawn positions as well so it starts with a duel, though we can run off to jump others or to a terrain advantage.
I could see an issue with people grouping up however, both in game and pre-game however. While in-game it is unavoidable, but if they group up before hand they could just easy steel and exp grind by grouping up, ganking, and then deciding a winner by letting one guy throw the others off the ledge. So I'll leave it up to Ubi to limit group sizes as they see fit.
Input is appreciated, thanks.
We see a lot of requests for a FFA style mode quite often and I'm sure by the point we've brought it up to the team more than enough times for them to get the hint.
Personally, I think it's a really cool concept and it would be neat to have, but as a complete game mode by itself it would be hard to keep it fair and balanced. We'd probably need time to think about how we could introduce other elements to keep it dynamic, fair, and balanced.
