Are the worst bunker opponents
If they do nothing for an hour you should expect them to be last minute strategists. The only nice side is that if you have all 3 tracks from the start you'll still collect a good amount of chips and can roll the half you lost into another match. So in my opinion it's better than someone who throws massive tickets to constantly take back tracks so you lose and only get 30 chips. If your that committed to beating me at least let me have some chips.
I've come back to many last minute losses this season due to the long match time. I'd take 2-3 hr matches any day.
It's common strategy nowadays because of ridiculously long showdowns![]()
Yea chips is a secondary goal for me especially until they give new bunker tracks. my goal was get to 1 or legend so I can stop playing.
Also I feel like this happened alot less with 24 hour showdowns, so the "too long" doesn't track.
It is a bit irritating since there isnt a lot of competition going on, but (besides the free chips you get) they are also giving you a fairly nice advantage. I actually ignore my opponents unless they MAKE me notice them by beating me (ie I "play against myself"); when I play the bunker I use every ticket to improve the tracks I feel that I didnt do my best on, as soon as I get a ticket refresh. If they want to let me have 8+ free tickets over the course of the match to improve my times and use every timesaver I know, thats fine by me. If they want to wait until the last minute and spend their own 15+ tickets at my times to try and beat me..... thats cool (I ENJOY watching their tickets fly at the end).Originally Posted by woody7483 Go to original post![]()
In the end, I know I did the best I could with the tickets I was willing to spend .. and if they win, its because they were better and/or wanted it more. No shame in that.
PS: you can also look up your opponents in bonxy/tlforo to see how they compare to your rank, how they did on the specific tracks, etc.... if they are ranked high then you might want to consider spending some of your own extra tickets to cover yourself.
How about 9 min. waiting? : )
Seriously, letting my opponent start and win on all the 3 tracks gives me the chance to grab his stuffs that he won on the spinwheel, coins, gems etc.
Thus if I am good enough, and I start and win all the 3 tracks and he can not beat me, I finish up the battles only with my prizes.
But I always want more : )
I would say people who complain about it are just as bad. If I had stuff to do all day and couldn't get to it until the last 10 minutes, sorry? There is a time limit for a reason. If you were worried your tracks would get beaten, you should have set better times. Each player has equal opportunity to win any given race. It shouldn't matter if the time was set in the first 10 minutes or the last. The showdown has to "end" at some point, so you can't even legislate this. If you want the thing to lock up at the 10 minutes left mark, why not just end it there? Then people will play in the last 20 minutes.
I don't mean to sound like a jerk, honestly, but you can't fault a player for playing a showdown how they want to. Usually when I play I spend golden tickets to make the times as good as I can at the very beginning of the showdown, and usually people can't take them back the whole time. If they do, GG to them. There is no wrong way to win, unless you are cheating/hacking IMO.
Sorry.

I agree with Mr. Justinman114. This has happened to me a few times in the past so I went into the options and checked that box to send me a notification when someone beats my arse in the bunker. I can then go back in and win the track back...most of the time. Some of you players are really effin' good lolOriginally Posted by justinman114 Go to original post
I have a tendency to try and take tracks in the last few minutes simply because I don't have time to play over the duration of the bunker. I'm a single parent running a business so time is precious.
I'll only start a match if I know I can play close to when the time is up. I'll start a match, grab 3 tracks if I can, set a timer on my phone for about 15 minutes before the end, and go to work/parenting. If I can manage to check into the bunker in-between time and try and grab tracks back or improve my time I will but a lot of the time I simply can't and have no choice but to try and win in the last 15 minutes or so.
I'm not going to not play because other people don't like it even though it is well within the rules and fair play.
I know the frustration of having a good streak broken by a last minute loss but just like everyone said before, it’s their right to play it however they want. Seems to have happened more this season than any before but it’s just the luck of the draw. I personally like catching my opponent playing at the same time and going back and forth on tracks at the same time.
