Need Help Defeating Gladiator with Conqueror | Forums

Hello! I need some Help. I am a Conq Main and a fairly averange Player, i lose about as often as I Win my Fights, depending on how skilled my opponent is.
Now the thing is most of the Time i know where i messed up, and even if i get Steamrolled by a Player who vastly outskills me, i don't feel bad about it, because hey i learned something!

Now to my Problem. Lately Gladiators are Handing my Butt to me on a regular Basis, and not because they are more skilled, (Though some of them surely are.), but because i have trouble with a few specific moves. I can't seem to avoid them and i would like some advice on how to Counter them as well as general Advice.

So now to the Moves:

Toe Stab
This Attack is very weird, i can avoid it very rarely, and i can't avoid it at all if i stand with my back to a wall. Sometimes i dodge, and am out of range animationwise, and the Attack still hits me. My Reflexes are rather good, but this Attack hits me more often than not, it seems totally random. Does this Attack come out slower or faster sometimes? btw: Any other way i can do something about it besides "Just dodging"?

Side Doge -> Shield Bash ->Toe Stab (The Gladiators, not my own.)
While i can avoid this Attack, if i see it coming, i often get punished with this if i try to Feint, or Attack on my own, this Attack also seems to drain Stamina if i am not Mistaken. Now the Problem with this Attack is that, it is almost always followed up by a Toe stab, which i can't seem to avoid. If the Attack drains my Stamina to 0 i fall down which is devastating, because now he gets a free heavy.

Attacking on my own
I am not a Noob Conqueror, i know that just throwing out Attacks will get me parried fairly easily, but feinting seems nigh impossible because while i take them Time to feint he just side dodges into a light or into another Shieldbash of his own, followed up by another Toe Stab again. My every move seems very punishable, and unlike fighting light spamming Assasins, (where i can parry, though they are still a hard match up), or fighting classes with other Unblockable abilities (Centurion, where the moves can be doged or parried), there doesn't seem to be a thing i can do. Does anyone know a wayfor Offense without getting direly punished for it?

Please not i am NOT a Turtle Player. I only Turtle against Light Spamm, where i will try to get a parrie in or if i try to hold off a Gank in Dominion, other than that i like to Mix it up with Attack and Defense. I try to bait other Turtles with Feints/Feint into Bashes, and of course use punishes as well as Light Parries.

So yeah Advice here would really ba appreaciated. Please not that i already train/trained with Gladiator Bots, and at First Gladiator Players where no Challenge for me. Since the last Patch (despite them getting no Buff as far as i am aware), but this is probably due Folks becoming more expierenced with Gladiator.

When the Centurion was released I used to say that he was designed specifically do deal with Conqueror. He has all the right tools for it and this new nerf shows us exactly how powerful that character is. Then came the Gladiator. A hero that said "Oh, you didn't manage to parry my light? Have an unblockable toe-stab!"
The problem is how spammable this combo is, and I suspect that at some point in the future the toe-stab will have its stamina cost raised. Anyway. The only real tip I can give you, is to use your shield bash on reaction. If he does a dodge-light, dodge-SB-light back.

If you were smart enough i mentioned something : good gladiator. You cant' beat this, trust me. Gladiator is anti-hero to conqueror.

I think for conq anyone who relies on lights is a mis match for you, In case you wasn't aware that if you block any dash attack from gladiator it guarantees a GB but only dash lights not normal lights. This is the only thing I can think of that can help.

Yesterday I was destroyed by the Conqueror. I rarely lose to Conquerors as a Gladiator, I'll tell you this:

Don't try to go for side attack, shield bash spam, it is dodgeable or easy to deflect/parry. Try to turtle and feint heavy attack to provoke Gladiator to make his first move then block, use light attacks.

When Gladiator will dodge and attack left or right you have free GB after block.

When Gladiator will heavy attack you have free GB after block.

When Gladiator will follow light attack with toe stab dodge back (don't dodge left or right) then shield bash him. After one or two times he will stop toe stab you.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I already tried your Advice out and you probably wouldn't believe how much it helped! I still have a Problem with Glads who only Spam Toe Stab and Light Attacks and no other moves, but now I at least have a Chance, and i it feels like a Fight, not an Execution. That really helped me out, thanks!
