This is exactly why I've stop playing Ghost recon after Advanced Warfighter especially with the 3rd person view WTF !!!. GR was my favorite game when I was younger and one of the game why I prefer to play in Hardcore games nowaday. It was pretty much the same for R6 in the good old days but as it is now doesn't bother me dat much, this is a game with an awesome gameplay and it is kinda Hardcore by default even if it is not absolutely. One of the main reason is probably Esport and the balancing of the huge amount of operators with their own specialities.

I understand what you mean and I agree with you, I wish it would have been an hardcore game but in terms of marketing and audience, big game lobbys like Ubi don't care of these HC players because they are a niche... Maybe we will find something more interesting in "Ready or Not"

Do you see now that it isn't that simple. There is no one thing that is fun to everyone, Diffirent people like diffirent things but major game studios only try to entertain the majority (and the majority consists of more and more kids, this is the reason why every game slowly becomes more like cod).
Ok, fair enough, so allow me to take out unrealistic parts of the game:

    Wall reinforcments
Side driving and jumping on drones
    Blackbeard
    Twitch
    Jager
    Bandit
    Blitz
    Montagne
    Mira
Sledges wall breaches, they're too big.
    Barricading doors in 2 seconds
    Lesion
    Echo
    Hibana
    Thermite
    Ying

    And soo much more

While all of these, when scrutinized are unrealistic, with a little bit of suspension of disbelief, they can be conceivable to us.
Older R6 games are realistic, but they also weren't built to be competitive shooters, which rely on balance. The only other game I know that was competitive was Rainbow Six Vegas, and that game was also unrealistic as well.

Balance often means taking away aspects of realism, and for a comp shooter, balance is the most important part of it.

    Is this a joke?
