Watching SolidFPS today on Twitch I think he had an interesting idea. Instead of the old way of going rogue, or the toggle in Rogue 2.0 you could choose on entry to the DZ which side you want to be on - rogue or agent. It would create a faction war and you would know straight away who's running up on you.
Potentially you could construct a "capture the zone" mode in the whole DZ where the faction captures for example DZ1 and the agents need to get it back. Or you just play as normal.
I still say the best way is an alignment system. If you go Rogue nearly every time you get the chance, you should have longer Rogue status with no ceiling, to the point where you are pretty much Rogue every time you enter the DZ.Originally Posted by LT_Kane-PS4 Go to original post
The only way to work this off is to have sufficient play time without attacking other players.
This would end all the sneak attack BS that goes on in the DZ. It would also add sufficient penalty to Rogues, while preventing them from masquerading around like normal agents. With all the tech we have, ISAAC can't track the ******* that shot you in the back last week?
Thing about the sneak attack is, a lot of 'rogues' (not all, mind, some are actually good players) pat themselves on the back for getting a kill, when they know full well they may get thrashed in a face-to-face fight.
Win or lose, it just ain't in me to shoot somebody in the back - no accomplishment in that...

i could really get behind this. i've been fundamentally against the DZ from the start. That "sneak advantage". if there was a Rogue Rank based on your history of going rogue then I could know, even if that player isnt "Rogue" at the moment, that he has a high chance to be and I can be on the ready. That makes it more PvP. Shooting an unsuspecting player in the back while he's in cover fighting NPCs isn't.Originally Posted by BlaqVenom Go to original post
