I can bring up the suggestion, but I feel that might shift the focus too much towards trying to complete a full gear set instead of using it as a convenient tool and making the most of what you have available. I think a special effect might be more fitting, as that wouldn't give any kind of combat advantage. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

I like the idea of set bonus. But they all have different bonuses. Attack Damage, Defense, Stamina Regen. STuff like that. Minor but enough that you'd actually use a full set. Could do like all the MMO's with the 2/6 3/6 type bonus if you get the "matching" weapons to the armor set. Then you could mix and match for different bonuses.

While weapons certainly tend to go best with their matched parts, armor is a little different. Implementing a matching gear system will ultimately be a big **** YOU! to anyone who does any mixing and matching. How 'bout no, mmkay?

Yeah, I don't agree with this either, at least not if the "bonus" has a tangible effect in the game (such as an attack or defence bonus). If the effect is entirely visual, I'd be willing to let it in just because I've played Warframe and I know that people want to look cool.

Anyway, how would this even work, since there is a system for changing the appearance in the game?
