Although I'm in love with most of the options available with this pack, it's just 100 ghost credits too expensive. With current rates, I'd be forced to purchase $20 worth of credits. Most would be willing to pay the nominal (and still a bit pricey) $10 for the 1700GC pack if it meant consistency throughout the store. Overall, everything is too overpriced for me to want to buy.
Let's see... for 18,00 credits
Whatever you want in that pack, individually, costs $1.12 if you purchase the "Base Credits Pack".
Whatever you want in that pack, individually, costs about 70 cents if you buy the "Medium Credits Pack". (Marketed as Best Value)
Whatever you want in that pack, individually, costs a little over a nickel if you purchase the "Extra Large Credits Pack".
--------------
It's $5.00 for 800 credits "Base Credits Pack"
800/5= 160
So $1= 160 Credits
1/160=X/18,00
1800 credits = $11.25
There are 13 items.
13/$11.25=$1.12
Whatever you want in that pack costs $1.12 if you purchase the "Base Credits Pack".
___
Now lets say you purchased the "Extra Large Credits Pack" which is listed as "Most popular"
It's $50.00 for 11,530 credits
11,530/50= 230
So if you buy this pack $1= 230 credits
13items/230credits= $0.05
Whatever you want in that pack costs a little over a nickel if you purchase the "Extra Large Credits Pack".
___
Now lets say you bought the "Medium Credits pack" which is listed as "Best Value"
It's $20.00 for 3,840 credits
3,840/20= 192
So if you buy this pack $1= 192 credits
13items/192credits= $.067
Whatever you want in that pack costs about 70 cents if you buy the "Medium Credits Pack".

I bought the Gold version of the game at launch for $107 at launch. I want reparations for Narco Road.
Oh man, are my numbers even right?
Edit:
If my numbers are right it means the "Most Popular" is actually the "Best Value"
Add miniguns to the Santa Muerte Helicopter, Ubi Dotards
Edit:
That's why they don't want to sell it piecemeal , they don't want you to buy a facepaint for $0.50, they want you to buy the pack for $20.00
Edit:
So no, 5 cents for whatever item you want isn't expensive. It's embarrassingly cheap. Like, if you can't spare a nickle I feel bad for you and would ask for your paypal so I could send you like $0.10 or $0.20
I already paid 80-100 dollars (depending on the version) for the game why should I spend more for stuff that has no real advantage. That being said I bought the color pack because I wanted a red and black gun and was HUGELY disappointed that you can't mix and match colors. The gun is all red, all blue, all yellow. Just ridiculous. Could I get my money back? NOPE! The gear looks cool but it doesn't give you better anti-detection values or steadier aim or more ammo capacity. It is just for show. Save your money and eventually they will just give it away for free. They already gave away the Santa Muerte vehicle pack piecemeal as challenge rewards and the P416 Miteca (or whatever) rifle as well.
I've never understood why games make their microtransactions not so micro in cost. Sooo many more sales would be garnered with pricing that shows value for money. It's only usually F2P games that get it right, but there's many examples of overpricing among them also. I don't mind spendiing £10-£20 in microtransactions on a decent F2P game just to show support. If it's one that takes up most of my gaming time (like DUST 514 did) then I'm happy to spend a lot more.
Before PVP there was no need for cosmetics since camo does nothing against AI, and GRW is not GTA so forget them pink guns, lol.
After October 10th I most definitely want to buy some cosmetics and I don't care if they are only for Ghost War and don't transfer to the main game. I would love it if they implemented my suggestion for Task Force Leader Camo Packs - the whole TF gets access once the leader purchases them, but only whilst in the TF. I don't want silly colours though, I want camo that actually works as camouflage and not an orange hunting vest shouting "I'm Mr Meeseeks, LOOK AT ME!" lol.
Yeah, I never understood that myself. Reminds of that guy that pulls into a fuel station, turns up his radio before he gets out and then looks around at everyone likely thinking we all think he's cool.Originally Posted by D-from-Oxford Go to original post
