He has a pinned comment on that video now saying that it's not standalone. It is not standalone at this time, it's going to be released free to owners of the full game. I think the confusion was caused by the beta being in a separate client.

Ghost Wars PvP DOES IN FACT launch tomorrow Oct 10th.


Ghost Recon: Wildlands goes down for a mandatory "10 Hour Maintenance" period at 7 AM UTC.

What does that mean for us in the USA?

7 AM UTC is 3 AM EST or 12:00 AM Pst. That means we should be able to play Ghost War by 1 PM on the East Coast and 11 AM on the West Coast of the USA tomorrow October 10th 2017

The Game is launching with 8 Maps, 12 Classes , and 6 new features that we saw in the beta such as tagging, suppression, etc. This is a 100% FREE DLC. You do need to own the main game Ghost Recon Wildlands and HAVE IT INSTALLED on your device in order to play. The BETA was Standalone. The DLC is NOT! That's how they allowed people who had never played/owned the game prior to be able to join in on the open beta. You can go ahead and delete the Ghost Wars PvP beta off your system.

He get's a lot of insider information directly from the Dev's including EARLY access to tomorrow's launch. IF you would like to see the remaining 3 maps as well he already has video's posted as of this morning of the last 3 maps on his channel.

The ONLY reason the game was released at BETA time as a standalone was to allow players who did NOT own the game to be able to participate in the beta.

You do in fact need to OWN the game, have the base game installed on your device, and then it will install as a add on FREE DLC that included 8 maps, and 12 classes and 1 game mode at launch. More Maps, Classes & game modes are to come later on after launch, will they be Free? that's hard to tell but Ghost Wars is IN fact 100% Free.

Hello Ghosts,
next Tuesday from 7am UTC, we will operate an exceptional 10h maintenance in order to update our servers for the upcoming PvP free update for Ghost Recon Wildlands: Ghost War. This maintenance will also include a new patch for the campaign mode.

We will share our patch notes around 12pm UTC on October 10th. Please note that Ghost War won’t be available for play before the end of the maintenance. In the meantime, we will update this thread regularly to let you know about the maintenance.

This maintenance will only impact the online play. If you are already in a game from the moment when the maintenance starts, your session will be put to offline mode so that you can still be able to play the game solo with your 3 AI teammates.

Apparently Ghost War menu BGM is very similar to Future Soldier menu BGM, or something along those lines.
But in the trailer you can see VIP rescue, and the bow weapon from Fallen Ghost coming..
