...unbelievable, although I should have guessed this would crop up (again). Does anyone even know the purpose of beta testing?Originally Posted by AI BLUEFOX Go to original post
Speculate all you want folks but until Ubi gives us a date, it's just that. .....speculation. Don't set yourselves up for disappointment.
Ubi may not even know at this point given the information they gathered during this past weekend. They have all of that information to compile (forum feedback included), organize, present, decisions to make and then bugs to fix, tweaks to make, more testing, etc. You really think they know for sure when they can release the final product just a couple days after the beta? Give them time.
I hope they dont do a Siege and keep adding tons more gadgets, wall hacks and insane runners. That would just be the ultimate nightmare for Ghost Recon (is for Rainbow as well but it doesnt stop them)Originally Posted by topeira1980 Go to original post
Do you have a source on that? Everything we've been told up to this point was that you need to own GRW to have access to it. ......unless I missed an announcement?Originally Posted by topeira1980 Go to original post
Remember that games like Call of Duty World and War, Battlefront 2, all of the sports games (which are heavily online orientated), come out sometime in November. It wouldn't be smart for Ubisoft to release Ghost War at that time because the game would fall under the shadows of all those other games. With releasing Ghost Wars now (october 10th), it isn't competing with the other games, and it will generate some sales because its not in competition with the rest of the games, players may decide that they dont want to spend the money for the other games, whereas if they had an option, they may have not chosen Ghost recon.
well, the official word is:
"According to Lucian Istrate, the lead game designer on Ghost War at Ubisoft Bucharest, players should “expect more classes, more maps, and even new modes to be added in the future!"
so take out of it what you will.
i just hope that whatever they bring will fit the game... though even THAT is something no one can agree on (With all the threads against drones, noise markers and spectator camera , which imo work very well into the game mode and removing them will hurt the mode a lot more just for a small benefit in some rare tactical situations)
And BTW - i heard a youtuber (not a small one. one of the guys who extensively cover GR:W) that the PVP will be standalone. obviously he could be wrong, so im sorry for the misinformation.
battlefront 2 open beta start the October 6th to 9th so they are releasing it right after that...smartOriginally Posted by Jayitson304 Go to original post
He may be right. I was asking because I hadn't heard otherwise and I recall (maybe not correctly) one of the moderators replying as well to someone that you need to own the game.Originally Posted by topeira1980 Go to original post
As for changes, I wouldn't worry to much about it. I doubt they will even had time to do much in these two weeks prior to release. I was hoping they may add some options for those of us wanting some of those changes but that may be in the future (if at all). I just know that if the game plays exactly the same as it did (less the bugs), it likely won't last for me. .....but that's just me.
