If there's a second game coming out. I have an idea.
You can customize your heroes! Well you already can but I though maybe we could make heroes even more customizable. Like weapons switched with armor. Just take a good long look at this picture.
Do you see anything out of the norm? I see...
Warden with sword and shield
Captain with longsword and shield
Minion with flail and shield
Captains with spears
A captain with shield and spear
So that reminded me of an old idea I had that is (probably) didn't post on these threads at all. You can switch weapons between heroes.
EX: Warden with shield and flail. Lawbringer with zwiehander, Conqueror with Shield and Sword, Peacekeeper with spear. And so on.
Wouldnt that be cool?

Yeah Ubisoft has a hard enough time just making normal Vikings that are really Vikings instead of doing dumb s*** that's just I have nothing but slander to say about it they did a real good job on the Highlander though In fairness it just pisses me off they did so well with the Highlander and f***** all the Vikings royally I mean the beserker they should have read up on Berserkers they really should have they should have taken the time to read about Berserkers instead of just I think they just stuck a f****** name to somebody and just decided to make some crazy s*** I mean after all that's why they gave him a wolf pelt ornament instead of the bear Pelt ornament which is just questionable at the least now I did it there is actually a group of what they would still be called Berserkers but they did they were classified and identified with Wolves so understandable but still frustrating the lack of Competency when it comes to downloadable content like Loki you're going to bring up Loki and then put some f****** tribal art that reminds me of Crash Bandicoot and Pacific Islanders what is with them in the Pacific Islander art cuz everything they do looks like Pacific Islander art or Polynesian art or Modern Art I mean they keep screwing this puppy up every damn day and the the the ornaments that there are trocious I mean yeah as a standard yeah they may look cool but they do not fit the character they do not fit Vikings for the freaking love a God could you just do things that are relevant the closest one that I could say they did somewhat of a decent job is most of the warlord's ornaments look somewhat decentOriginally Posted by Gemoroda Go to original post
Raider is just comical let alone you can't remove his ornament so you have to Don one of these horrible atrocious poor excuses of game-breaking immersion breaking excrement upon your character the ALBERICH ham looks pretty good but this is another instance of what I'm talking about they add this piece of metal right at the brow of the helm that's Jagged and it just totally ruins the hundred percent progress and immersion that was there because if you remove that Jagged brow that's on the ham it actually looks pretty good without it that's what I'm talking about they go above and beyond if not they don't even hit in the same ballpark and a good example is the battle outfits for all the factions having Modern Art influence or the Mythic outfits just being over-the-top, outlandish, and irrelevant to the culture. Another good example is that stupid ornament where there's blades on top of the Raiders head I mean again that's just horrible that's that's so horrible it doesn't fit in at all if you're going to do something do it right if not don't bother
if you're going to make some weird game with something more akin to Conan the Barbarian and he man and you're going to call that a Viking will then let me know so I don't buy this s*** because all I saw when I was researching the game was this was a realistic game but yet when I see the downloadable content as far as the outfits in ornaments it is so far from realistic you're not even trying
They release the Viking Village and even though the Viking Village look nothing similar to a historically accurate Viking Village I mean as far as following a strict path they still did a good job at using relevant things from the identity and the culture to wear it's exaggerated at worst but when you're playing you don't get the thought like this doesn't belong here you're actually somehow prone to start thinking that this is what it is and it's really immersive
in several instances of the Viking maps they look really good they reflect the culture granted they have been exaggerated but still did you just shows I'm not being a historical nut over here and saying everything has to follow this linear path but for the love of God could you at least do what you're doing their use the art that's relevant to the culture and people and expand upon it instead of making these outlandish it just it's like they're not even trying when it comes to the Norseman just to cut myself off they're not even trying in comparison to the other factions which are relevant and their ornaments fit the time and the type of characters that they are as well as the culture it all fits in nicely but the Norsemen is just a heaping pile of junk and I just really am ashamed I hope they literally read my post and I'm going to keep posting this I hope I can just maybe next week on The Forum just go on the chat and maybe online reading my comment my question of why is all your ornaments and every bit of downloadable content as far as for the Vikings totally irrelevant to the culture and literally has nothing to do with the identity thereof sorry yeah rage rant again

On topic; I could get behind the idea of more customizable heroes. Not sure it'd actually fit with For Honor's design goals, but something like being able to customize your hero, within an archetype, I think would be interesting.
For example, maybe you could give your Berserker a shield, which would add a more defensive move, or two. Or give him an Axe and Sword, maybe swinging the sword slower, but do more damage, or have a Bleed effect.
Or give a Warlord an Axe for faster counterattacks, but less damage.
Stuff like that might be interesting. Maybe remove Hybrid classes altogether as this would allow you to make your own Hybrids from the existing 3 tiers of heroes.
