Casting call made for extras for Far Cry 5 commercial

A popular video game needs extras for a commercial that will be filmed in the Merritt and Lower Nicola area.
Filming will take place between Tuesday, September 26th and Friday, September 29th.

There are 50 extras needed for the first two days of filming and only a few extras will be needed for the last two days.
Production is seeking males and females of all ethnicities who are 20 years old and older.
Casting sessions will take place in three places over the latter half of this week.

    • Merritt: Wednesday, September 20th @ Merritt Civic Centre (1950 Mamette Ave.) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
    • Kamloops: Thursday, September 21st @ The Plaza Hotel's Gottfriedson Room (405 Victoria St.) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
    • Lower Nicola Indian Band: Friday, September 22nd @ LNIB Community Hall from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

You’re asked to wear street clothes to the casting session.
A casting person will take pictures of you and collect forms with your contact information.
You must also have your own transportation and be legal to work in Canada.

Extras that are cast will be paid a minimum of $15 per hour plus overtime, plus travel time, and there’s an opportunity to be paid an extra $50 if your car is used for outside location shots.

You can bring pictures of your car to a casting session or e-mail them to tnfc@tnrd.ca.
Fry Cry is a franchise of first-person shooter video games around gun and other weapon based combat.
The player experiences the action through the eyes of the main character, ex-special forces soldier Jack Carver.

Dang, when I saw the thread title I hoped it'd be shot on location in MT, I'd be willing to drive a couple hours for the chance to be in a FC commercial! And whats this about playing as Jack Carver!!?!?

Yeah it's a little odd - whoever wrote that must think the whole franchise has Jack Carver as the main man when he was in the first game on PC and in the Instincts Games only.

I wonder if that FC4 TV Commercial was only in the States & Canada as I don't remember seeing it over here in the UK - Yesterday was the 1st time I got to view it.

Don't drag former personages into new FarCry! Forget about them! Let every new FarCry game has its own characters!!! We need new colorful heroes!

Recurring characters help connect the universe, it is not a bad thing if it is done thoughtfully and not in a contrived way. Having one or 2 characters pop up here & there in multiple games doesn't have to be a bad thing. I'd say never having any sort of connective element between games is actually detrimental...

I literally look just like all the villains. If they saw me they would hire me on the spot...

My point is - better to have every FarCry game as absolutely Autonomous and Self-sufficient! It gives more freedom and does not bind us to certain characters! Don't drag that Hurk with its artificial bravado from game to game! So many new characters are waiting ahead!
