    Stamina overhaul suggestion

Couple things up front: I haven't really thought this through. Second, I know there's out-of-stamina changes in the pipeline.

    However.

I don't get much enjoyment from how the game handles stamina. OOS is just the sit-and-wait phase of every fight I find myself in. And you get there pretty quickly, all things considered. If you overextend just a fraction...sit and wait. Get light parried in the middle of a fight...sit and weight. Get ganked by a Raider and carried away? Sit and weight. Fight a Centurion? Yeah, probably sit and wait.

And it's really irritating to be the aggressor too, because there's not much to be done. A lot of characters have zero tools to actually punish an OOS opponent.

So, how about taking a page from the DarkSouls playbook and abandon the OOS "state" and just introduce consequences for losing all your stamina. Like, if you you're blocked on a heavy swing and it puts you OOS, you're briefly vulnerable to guard-breaks, but otherwise, the green bar fills as usual and you're not sitting and waiting.

Zone spam could need something. Thinking of PK or Orochi...but if you block their zone and it puts them OOS, then you'd get a free GB. Good way to incentivise caution. As it stands, I see a lot of Orochis putting themselves OOS to deliver that cheek zone...which is often blocked. A solution like this would sort that out.

Like I said, I might be overlooking something critical, but I do think immediate consequences for mistakes is for both players better than long periods of nothing happening.

    Thoughts?

I can bring it up to the team as food for thought. I don't know how likely we'd be keen on scrapping an entire core mechanic, but it's something for them to think about at least.
