Types of Views in Battle - Ideas and Questions

    Hi,

I have a question that others might have to. what are the types of views in battle? do we need to fight with a focused view where the pirates are placed?
can we fight other ships with a all around the ship view?

Here are my ideas about views while in battle.
    - A followed cannon shot view, for exemple when we shot the camera automatically follows the cannon until it hits the opponent.
    - All around ship views for me its a must have in a way we can see the oponnents and sorroundings.
    - I have here a idea for players who die just in the beggining of the fight , its just to be able to use a camera around the map using your mouse or keyboard to control it.

So this is it thanks for coming to my post! Hope this gives a help on the game development.
add your ideas here in this post.

    -Thanks!

I really hope this game isnt about ships and naval stuff only! PLEASE UBISOFT! dont do this to us! ubisoft please listen to your fans suggestions and many other people! we all want the same thing! I also cant believe that they started working on skull and bones ever since black flag came out, meaning that they have ONLY been working on the NAVAL stuff for 6 whole years?! that is really awful and unimaginable! in those 6 years, they could have put so much more stuff in it like land, underwater, on foot open world, sword and gun fights, manual boarding and so much more! but no, they have spent their whole 6 years working on naval stuff only!

    I like this idea too!

Even a cinematic mode that you could choose to watch the battles. A lot of games have this that chooses the view for you. Sometimes, though, it doesn’t work, sometimes it does.

In the gameplay trailer, you can see there are several camera views. Right now we have the...

    - Captain (over the shoulder) view (timestamp)
    - Ship (zoomed out) view (timestamp)
    - Spyglass (zoomed in, focused) view (timestamp)
    - Crow's nest (wide and far, focused) view (timestamp)
    - Aiming (differs depending on weapon type/slot) view (long nine timestamp, carronades timestamp, rockets timestamp)

Personally I mostly play with the captain's view, occasionally using the crow's nest to plan my next moves, as I prefer feeling up close and personal with my crew. For longer sailing stretches I'll sometimes go over to the ship camera to be able to check out my vessel and the environments a bit better.

That's not to say we won't investigate other more 'fun' ideas such as a cannon ball camera going forward. Just need to ensure they are balanced and not something that can be abused in multiplayer scenarios.
