What the hell is Render Mode, and what does it do?

Basically you can change the way the game looks. Apply cartoon mode then return to your game in cartoon style.

No it does'nt do the bang thing. But it does kinda look like the game 13.

I prefer paradise mode myself.

Ahh yeah, I checked them out. I've only tested Improved, Paradise and Cold. I didn't notice much, if any, difference between Paradise, Improved and Default. Cold is quite good, but I prefer to see all the bright colours and stuff in the game.

I've now got it set on Improved.

For some reason after I changed the render mode, explosions dont leave holes in the ground anymore. Anyone know why?

Is that the reason that when I try to change render mode, i get the NOT SUPPORTED message....

are these DX9 exclusive feature?

I can't tell any difference between Improved and Default. Paradise is kinda cartoony (ala Prince of Persia) while Cartoon looks like XII (only Far Cry is a GOOD game ). Cold is awsome for indoor environments, but I don't like it so much for outdoor. Can anyone honestly tell the difference between Default and Improved?
