    2 things that should be implemented to make solo play better !

    I brought the game yesterday, and so far i am loving it, but i really feel that some things should be implemented to make the game (solo play specificaly) better :

    - The first thing that should be avaiable is you AI teammate's customization, its kind of weird that you can only customize your own character, i wish we could customize the entire team.

    - Also our AI squad should be able to drive vehicles, cuz i really want to shoot from the window while my teammate drives.

    I really wish that they had put in a selection for the team commands. Like when you pick your vehicle, they should have put the same thing in for team commands so you could pick either team, Holt, Midas or Weaver instead of issuing the command to the whole team. That is the only real complaint I have.

    I think (if you read the now infamous "Q&A with the dev team" https://ghost-recon.ubisoft.com/wild...m:154-76770-32) they are not planning to add those requests in a future...

    The customizable AI has been requested at least as often as the heli controls...

    AI driving - guess the issue is how to controll them fluently by the player. Anyone giving driving orders to AI knows how much it breaks the flow of the game and it pretty much doesn't work in a firefight.

    I dont think those things are easy to implement. It sounds kinda easy, but adding a customizer for teammates sounds like a full week of work, i highly doubt theyll invest that much anymore.
    AI driving vehicles (id love that SO much) is even worse in terms of effort, i cant imagine we will ever see this.

    That beeing said, id really love to have these things

    Aw hell yea. I was playing Arma 2, and you can have your squad drive you to whatever waypoint you set, it was awesome.
    Arma is a solid Milsim and I really wish Ghost Recon Wild Lands shared more elements with that game. You can literally select a squad mate, tell him to get in a vehicle, and drive. Arma has far more complex squad mechanics with far more complex abilities.

    Trying to figure out why the customization and general capabilities of our squad is 'dumbed down' so much.

    Well yes, ARMA has more squad commands but it is a prime example of niche gaming because of bad accessability. If you are not really into milsim, you won't bother with it or you probably won't like it and saidly there are enough of bugs with the AI and commands there. But again, the driving itself was a pain, you needed to set up waypoints, which is fine traveling from point A to B, but completely impracticable when someone was shooting at you. Guess Ubisoft is held to a higher standard here with less legroom for things milsim fans would be willing to accept to get additional options.

    So while I would like to have AI driving, I really don't mind if it never makes it to GRW, since it came with enough bugs in ARMA to make me accept this trade off.


    Customization could be quite easily done with a single additional menu option (option to switch through all 4 characters in the customization screen, binding their outfits to your 6 saves). Also having up to 4 different players in MP shows that it woudln't even be a optimization issue. Contrary to other changes to gameplay it also requires only a short amount of testing and no balancing whatsoever. So it isn't a huge deal to implement. Not a small feature, but nothing compared to a whole new game mode.
