Announcement
"News has reached us that Pagan Min has set up a torture and DeathCamp...
to try and force people to reveal WHO are in the rebellion, and WHERE they are.
Reports received indicate there are still a few people left alive, in cages... but their fate is sealed,
unless someone takes the camp. We are hoping YOU can intervene
before the last few innocent people are tortured and murdered.
Put yourself in their desperate position... If no one came to save YOU, they will suffer the same horrid fate
as those they have WATCHED the soldiers torture and kill. Please help them!!!
A few of our comrades decided to try and help, because their relatives have been reported missing.
You may find their bodies strewn on the forest floor, indicating there are "Ninjas" prowling the forest, so please be careful.
Warning: You may want to avoid the open area, in the center of the camp, you may never forget what you see there.
Remember, those WERE people, like you and me... but we cannot begin to imagine their suffering, before they gave up."
MAP NAMES:
"DeathCamp ###2" (daytime assault "2" means you can take a friend to help you.)
"DeathCamp Day S###2" (daytime, "S" with a discovered "sniping ridge", but not close enough for long shots)
"DeathCamp Night S###2" (night time assault, with sniping ridge)
(There was one more, "DeathCamp Night ###2"... (whith no "S", which is if you decide to try the assault by night. -- I don't see it on the server though.)
Trivia:
The map was originally to be sneaky night-time deal...
... but playtesters hinted that a second map, where the assault takes place at noon,
might help players familiarise themselves with the area... Like the player had got a detailed pre-mission briefing.
The sniping ridge was added after a playtester suggestion... It is reasonable to presume such a ridge might exist...
but POSSIBLY gives the player a bit of an advantage, until he is spotted... but since they were too arrogant
to think anyone would find out about this "hidden town", they felt bazookas / shoulder rockets would be enough.
The town was originally a textile mill, where there were a lot of small houses, for the workers,
who were encouraged to take their sewing work home with them.
It was a "forward thinking" project, but then Min happened.
