Enemy AI accuracy and bullet spongi-ness is absurd

The game was on sale for $10, so I decided to pick it up. It's fun, kinda.

I'm learning how punishing running around solo can be. The enemy will rip you a new one from simply shooting blindly. They tear your hand off and your life. They are also experts at shooting through every nook they can find with pin-point accuracy. THEY DON'T MISS. They can even shoot the slightest portion of your head that is exposed from being behind cover. Sniper can shoot head-shots before they are even finish peaking from cover. Shotgunner can kill you from half a mile away with pin-point accuracy.

What's worst is that the enemy know it is spongy, so the AI isn't afraid to keeping pushing and pushing while you unload clip after clip unto them. The A.I. is constantly pushing you from cover and every enemy on the map flanks you and equally ignores your bullets.

I bought for honor after the free weekend. I bought this game for $10, and they are both beginning to frustrate me. I'm beginning to feel like if Ubisoft is not good a making video games.

These are frustrating and it'll take a while for you to evolve with this system.

Have you hit level 30 ? When you do, you will be able to try out several builds and playstyles, that will make the whole gameplay MUCH easier and understandable.
Just have some patience for now and enjoy the story missions.

What's funnier, is that friendly npc can't shoot for ****. If you can't kill anything, nothing gets done.

Totally agree. Also, it doesn't get any better the more you level either. In fact, they are at times able to one shot you. Basically you are forced to run a support station with life support as one of your two skills. Even then, the AI usually takes that out too with just one shot.
Game is broken, especially with all the skill delays.

When solo, the AI can be punishingly aggressive, due to the fact it knows your alone, and swarming you is a good tactic. It doesnt act so crazy if your in a team of 2/3/4. Of course this is hard to do if your new, as no one really does the 1-30 run properly anymore due to most people power leveling a second third or fourth toon.

If you want someone to help you level, flick me a friend invite on uplay, i still play daily and am happy to help out new players. I have no need for gear or anything and dont PvP/DZ, so it gives me something to focus on for a bit.

Well you got it for $10 , itiis a great game yes the npc can shoot round corners and through walls etc nut oyu get use to it and learn how to combat it, As for the bullet proof npc , you got 2 reasons for that , 1 server is slow and hits do not register, or 2 your build is weak ... I would say 1 would be your biggest problem.. some days weapons work good as normal then they are weak and do NOT kill anything ... But like i say keep at it , it is a bargain at $10

I would say read up on builds a bit and watch some vids. There is a lot of stuff you can learn from the hard core hot shots in this game. I am a solo pve'r and not a very good one at that, but doing what I just said helped me a ton. One of my builds is using a Ninja backpack, one of the neatest little perks the developer gave us in this game. With the NBP I get a 4-piece Striker bonus, a 2-piece Lone star bonus and a 2-piece Nomad bonus using 3- Striker, 1-LS & 1-Nomad with the NBP, then it's a matter of playing with your gear mods and your recalibration options. If you can get your hands on the right classy gear, you can really take advantage of the recal options.

Like I said, I'm not that good but I can melt bosses in the LZ with less than a mag. Don't forget to move in cover after every burst, that helps with the "shooting through cover" bug, because they shoot at where you last shot from and use cover to cover as much as posible.

That is the key, don't sit in one place. You have to keep moving cover to cover or they will surround you.

Just wait till you try legendary's; they have a one shot 360 punch. I mean literally you get too close, or they decide to charge and you and anyone around you is dead instantly. it's a crazy game mechanic that makes no sense whatsoever.

Having said that I love the game, it is fun once you get to know it and try out some good builds :-)

There is no argument regarding accuracy and sponginess of NPCs.

However, if you are having that much trouble leveling up playing the campaign, then you need to revisit both your build and strategy. And at early stages, I'd say more strategy than build. I periodically delete one character just to replay the campaign, and by the time I hit the Base of Operations I'm already 2 levels ahead of the NPCs, and normally are 3-4 levels ahead during the rest of the campaign, which makes it a cake walk. I also know which upgrades to make to the BoO as soon as possible, which would give me heals, virus protection, certain skills, etc.

One way to go about it:
when you enter a new area, do the virus measurement and antenna repair quests first, so you gain a level or 2 over the NPCs. Virus missions don't have enemies, antenna repair sometimes they do, but no more than 3-4 that you have to fight; others you can avoid.
Notice the NPC levels for each area. You can do that by hovering on the area on the map. There are a few sections that have the exact same NPC level, so do one after the other.
Make sure you do all quests in that area before doing the location missions and moving to the next area.
