I got 4 questions:
Why was Oni's armor changed?

Can Oni's armor become a singular armor set for orochi? Called the Oni set?

Is this Ronin's armor now? I hope it is.

Why do you see an Oni whenever you die by an orochi bot?

The name "Oni" was not a very good fit for Orochi honestly.

An Oni is, classically, closer to an ogre. The Shugoki is actually much closer to an Oni than anything, actually has a mask which resembles an Oni, which is why Shugoki adopted the "Oni" term in his movelist as well.

As far as the old armor goes... your guess is as good as mine, but somebody clearly had grievance with it looking that way. It definitely favored style over practicality with the shoulders mis-aligned.

I much preferred that set myself to anything in the game now, my understanding is it had to be redesigned due to a lot of clipping issues.

looks like Orochi with a fancy ornament to me.

if this armor even exists, it'd make sense making it a white star set.

There are MANY thing diffrent. Oni has a arm flap thing. HISTORICAL samurai armor looks (yes, they had bits of chainmail). I do agree with the white star thing but I know that this armor doesn't exist.

if this gets introduced, i want Appollyon's armor for the Warden.

In lore appolyon's armor is a lawbringers armor really. Also the Oni is not a story character.

But this hero

is the early concept of warden (female version though)

If someone had grievance then why is Oni still found almost everywhere in the game? Just not a playable hero?

- Not sure why it was changed, but a lot of these videos are somewhat old and things often change during development. Plus things that we can make in a video and things we can actually make possible in game aren't always in alignment.
- I'll make the suggestion to the team about this particular armor set. It's a very popular request that we've made before, and I'm sure they'll try their best to replicate it if they can.

There's definitely in-game footage of this armor/model from at or around the time of the first E3 reveal, if it's possible to put it in game that'd be huge.

To your "huh?" I believe he is referring to the the Orochi in-game portrait still having the armor worn in Oni teaser.

If you can't replicate it (due to clipping issues or whatnot) maybe you can make it into a special ornament. Called "Oni's Commitment" it's placed on the LEFT shoulder and does all the flap things it should do

I got to say... Please don't act like you don't know. All of year 1's heroes has been leaked during season 2... We all know about Ronin and Huntress now. (Besides looks and movesets and abilitys)

So Oni gameplay... Oni images everywhere... There must be a reason other than 'I don't know.'

I'm not sure it's just clipping issues, as it's not something as simple as just gluing one thing onto something else. But like I said, I have passed it along.

And I wouldn't bank on us teasing anything with a trailer from 2015. If you see anything Oni-looking in a 2017 teaser though, then we can talk.
