I think you are right and this is a big part of it. Much of this is speculation because we get zero transparency from Massive, but this is my take on things.Originally Posted by RushLoongHammer Go to original post
When loadouts were rolled up we ended up with quite a few bugs (many that had previously been 'fixed') getting reintroduced. This lead to the suggestion that loadouts had originally been planned for general release at beta but got held back for some reason. Massive had stalled on the issue of introducing loadouts for some time and then out of the blue they were suddenly available. The conclusion reached was that 'old' code with the basic loadout architecture already on it was used to accelerate introduction of this feature but it brought back unfixed bugs that had been rectified in subsequent code.
I think it has now been confirmed that the RPM loadout stacking glitch is NOT 1.7 specific and has been around since 1.6. My guess is Massive knew but had no way to rectify it without completely rewriting the loadout architecture onto a new patch and so let it slide as its use was limited. That makes me pretty angry when people were complaining about unusual experiences in the DZ but it is what it is. Since then of course the glitch has been exposed and whilst I actually commend those that exposed it (better the devil you know in my opinion) it has lead to widespread, almost universal use.
They supposedly have a patch ready now awaiting certification with Sony and Microsoft which is why there is a delay.
I can't provide a date at this time, but a fix is in the works. From our SotG show notes:Originally Posted by rounder_074 Go to original post
We do have a fix for the RPM glitch, and the patch is awaiting deployment. If players do exploit this glitch, action will be taken against them.
A final patch will be implemented before Update 1.8 launches.
2977 hrs on this game. Played every patch. Even god awful one shot shotgun crap. Played through it. This rpm/mod glitch has totally killed game. Goodbye division. Hello destiny!

I also had moments like that when I was in DZ and it was like I was the only player in there.
But I also had times I was in a DZ that was better called Cheat Zone! Full of cheaters and exploiters.
Like I said, you were lucky to be in that session.
Don't they require video evidence of hackers on pc? if they require that for hackers doing some right old shady stuff then I don't think they can tell who's doing what from their own side Imo .Originally Posted by III_Hammer_III Go to original post
Video evidence is required as a part of a report for multiple reasons; including avoiding false reports, being able to process them in a timely manner and also to identify any potential new cheats that we haven't seen before.Originally Posted by demon2blade Go to original post
It is however not our primary anti-cheat system, we have back-end tools for that purpose.
Out of curiosity, if you have back end tools, why would you require video evidence as part of the report? I'd think a player's handle will suffice to verify whether said player has cheated or not.Originally Posted by Ubi-Johan Go to original post
Who are all these people who are aware of what is going on in the DZ yet still go in to look for a fight - then complain that every time they go in they get their asses handed to them by cheaters?
Its only going to frustrate you to where you too are going to use these ******** tactics and leave yourselves open to any bans Massive and crew do actually handout. Stay the **** out of the ******** DZ and PVP.
Let the assclowns chase their tails like they did when they were given access to the PTS and all they did was take advantage of untuned new things and just kept using them the whole time.
I'll take "utter bollocks" for 250, Alex.Originally Posted by Ubi-Johan Go to original post
