Gladiator is more annoying then PK

If you thought that PK has unparriable lights then think again. Gladiators lights are just insanely fast, I don't even want to know how annoying Gladiator is on console but even in PC they are fcnin annoying. And that toe poke is like warlords headbut fast. I don't know what Ubisoft is thinking when he makes new characters but this is ridiculous. The way to fight the turtle meta is not that giving characters 50/50s (like highlander kick or grab 50/50) or making them able to punch everyone to death.

Speaking of new character design, it did feel like Unblockable used to be a special, limited tool for basically all of the base classes. As new seasons and heroes release, it feels like Unblockable is just something to be spammed now. Sure, it gives all the new hotness tools for opening up blocks, but that feels like the wrong answer. It's kind of cool and flavorful on some of the heroes, but it sort of feels like the new heroes just get training wheels, especially in cases where dodging an Unblockable doesn't result in guaranteed damage.

Maybe that's just my newfound bias towards Berserker showing, where I really enjoy the challenge of approaching a defensive class and have to practice opening them up just with attacks/super armor trades/feints. Unblockable spam feels like it sort of skips a big chunk of the game. Even if that changes once I get more experience against individual heroes, it still feels like questionable design to me.

The only hard attack to parry for the Gladiator is the initial attack. Once the first one is thrown, however, the following attacks are (at least in my opinion) much slower, easier to see and parry/deflect. But that's just me. I've been playing since Beta and I'm a parry beast. Lots of fresh blood with the free weekend event.

Agree. Unblockables should not be for assassins. Ubisoft decided to give the assassin it, so please make it punishable a lot and increase stamina cost. Let it be nice additional attack for those that can take advantage of timing etc, not the main spaming attack for noobs and skilled spamers.

And those punches they are too fast especially the zone. With PK fast zone attack you could have the reactions to parry it. But this punch zone you can react to it but your charracter can not doge it fast enough. And the toe poke. Like warlord headbut. And when you are in a team fight it is so annoying.

Everything gladiator does can be punished greatly though. His zone attack and punches are easy to dodge in my opinion, and as long as they don't follow up with anything, you get a free guard break. Simply dodge the toe stab and you can guard break the gladiator. Just like raider's zone attack, the charge thing is not a spammable move against more skilled players. Just wait and react to it if he follows through. Simply blocking a leap attack gives you a free guard break.

All in all, Gladiator is pretty balanced. He doesn't need a buff or a nerf, as anything you do as him can be punished badly if the other player knows what [s]he is doing. At least try to get used to fighting the character before posting a complaint on the forums.

Thanks for the gladiator feedback! We're keeping watch over the new S3 hero's strengths and power in different matchups for now, but once we've had some time to gather more data and feedback we can re-evaluate them and make changes based on all the feedback we receive.

You got the point man! He can have his unblockables but these have to be punishable more and more expensive.

BTW I appreciate that ubisoft became responsive.

Playing Gladiator for the first time today, on console I can say that in one game I've had more players parry my lights than with any other hero. As mentioned, it's usually the 2nd or if I decided to throw a 3rd it was easy for them. The toe stab range was a lot shorter than I thought, and defs missed more than I landed. Now that people have caught onto the unblockable parry timing window, I wouldn't call it OP. Maybe I need more time with him, but I'd agree on the balanced statement.

All of his unblockables are punishable...

Dodge the toe stab and you can guard break the gladiator
    Simply parry the bleed thing
Dodge the punch and you get a free guard break as long as the gladiator doesn't follow up with anything

Everything Gladiator does is punishable, you just have to actually learn to punish him.
