if i buy a uplay key for the for honor season pass would it work with the steam version of the game?

I don't believe you'll be able to redeem the Uplay key through the steam store. I do know you can link games on your PC to your steam library, but I don't know if it will register things like trophies/progress in steam. So if you're looking for a Steam version, I'd suggest purchasing through Steam and not Uplay/Ubisoft store..
