^ above is a linked thread from the competitive for honor sub talking about and showcasing a discovered unlock tech for the Gladiator. What the effect does is guarantee a heavy after any unblockable bash. If for whatever reason the mods can't look at the linked thread i'll explain it. It's worth noting that this works with any buffered attack apparently.
How do you do this unlock tech? this: "Dodge (any direction except back), GB (punch), Heavy Attack (Just as or slightly before punch connects), Unlock+ Dodge (As the heavy animation starts)"
There are some things to keep in mind. Assassins this will always land due to their reflex guard. For normal guard you have to throw it in the direction they are not currently guarding in as it will be blocked. Throwing from the top is apparently not a good idea as it removes the tracking on the attack. They also supposedly mention it makes the attack unparryable.
And here is a link to a 53 second youtube video demonstrating the technique itself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-plQ...ature=youtu.be
I am unsure if I should have put this in the feedback thread only or not. But i'll go post the video link there too just to make sure it will be seen.
It doesn't matter how much time is given to a dev team nor how many people are on said dev team. No amount of testing they can do will ever be on the level of giving access to said thing to the public at large. That's why gaming companies do public alphas/betas. That's why test servers are a thing.Originally Posted by Error0004000025 Go to original post
But if it helps you sleep better at night beating a dead horse by all means. Fulfill your hollow existence.
No. no bash he does guarantees a heavy. You CAN combo a heavy after a bash. but that doesn't make it guaranteed.Originally Posted by Cajin203 Go to original post
this unlock tech does.
It starts to matter when basically half characters on this game have/had an unlock exploits.Originally Posted by Knight_Raime Go to original post
Incorrect. Companies do public beta tests for promotional purposes only. They act solely to hype excitement for the game. In a open beta test you have tons of unqualified people(in Q&A) who are more interested in experiencing the game before they purchase, not testing intricate mechanics of which they haven't even learned yet.Originally Posted by Knight_Raime Go to original post
In Ubisoft's case they launched a mere two or three days after the open beta ended. There is NO WAY they could have compiled the data from the open beta, sifted through it, and learned anything useful in time to effect the game before launch. Hence why we're six months out and we're still dealing with issues that were brought up in the closed beta, and why we have new heros being released with old unlock exploits that were brought to Ubi's attention prior to Season 2.
Just because some companies choose to use a beta that way doesn't mean all betas are. Did you see halo 5's beta as an example?Originally Posted by Wolf-Heathen Go to original post
Nothing else you've stated changes my factual statement. Hundreds of thousands of players is going to give them more than anything that can be done in house alone.
I was aware that they do check both reddit subs. Just wanted to make sure it got as much exposure as possible in hopes it could be addressed faster. It's unlikely that most people will run into this as unlock tech is only really prevalent in the highest of skill brackets. But still. Thank you for forwarding it to them.Originally Posted by UbiNoty Go to original post
