Having the chat set to private on default makes communication really hard | Forums

I already set my default to all, but I think many do not even know about the new chat setting and just run around wondering why nobody is talking, especially new players, who won't know such a setting exists..

I've had many games where nobody on my team was able to read what I wanted to tell them because they had it set to private, making communication very difficult..

I suggest putting the default chat channel on "All" or atleast "Team".

as memoriestar said. some of us know that ... but this should be an option to turnit off from default ingame. nut an option to turn ot on as an option... i agree. its pretty annoying. and by pretty im refering to a hell of a lot annoying

that would be the better way for this Feature. At least it is a "Multiplayer Geame" and whats the Problem about giving in a Multipalyer tipps to your Teammate. At least the Teamcomunication should be always open and not be able to block.
I opend all Chats and I still feel alone when all other Players have this Little sign with the cross in the middle. Thats realy annoying, most time everybody Plays like an Ego-game cause there is only 1 or 2 Player in a match with a open Chat.

Sorry thats a realy bad Feature the way it is now, you should think about changing it.

bad decision making. Providing that option to turn off chat is good, but not by default. Think about all the new players that could be helped with a tip and feedback here and there but don't receive messages. The way this change was communicated and visually displayed is hands down amature level. As a result we have got so many many players that obviously haven't even noticed that there was an option or even a change to begin with..

Good to see that I'm not the only one being frustrated with this issue. Playing Dominion alone was already quite difficult because of dealing with gank squads withouf proper communication. Dominion is already played like Skirmish and the fact that I can't ask people on my team to boost a zone (quickchat for objectives has always been ignored so far) or something like that doesn't make it easier.

I guess I will stop playing Dominion alone from now on. It's the only mode I can play toether with my buddy anyways, in the others his game gets blackscreen crashes on round switches since patch 1.03 or something.

After this Long time now it is still annoying. There are still 6 of 8 Players that has the Chat blocked. if u like me playing the most time by myself you lose a lot of Matches cause the lower Players dont Play like in a Team and you can give no tipps to your temmates. Boah, that just nervilling and i dont understand why ubi doesnt Change the Default Settings at least to "Team"???

Just a few minutes ago i played a Dominion and i swer all other Players in my Team had the Chat blockd. Now there where 2 almost new Players they startet killing bots in the middle Zone, the other was just runing wild around and it didnt look like he knew what to do. I tried to use the Quick Chat and you know what, just F... it, that doest work with that hyper intelligent OK, Thak you, Sorry, ....
I lost that match about 1200:100 and quit the game for today because i had no nervs to start another again. I dont Mind losing a match but not this way, Special when you know it could be better when u give your mates same tipps.

I love dominion but this ruined this game mode.
