Just what the title says just wonder because this clip is what I thought for honor was going to be like ( Maybe take some ideas )
What I mean about ideas is allow us to have a hardcore mode that we can to chop people arms and heads off and maybe clashing battles.
So why did you create two topics about that? You could simply edit first one:
http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...o-beat-MORDHAU
Why would they need to "beat" (whatever that means) Mordhau? They are two different genres of game. Mordhau is a FPS focusing primarily on Western Knights and For Honor is a 3rd person MOBA/fighting game hybrid with the concept of pitting a varied cast of historical warriors against each other.
About the only thing they have in common is that they're both set in a medieval period. They both have different markets to please and although they may garner similiar interest from their two markets they are still not direct competitors. Mordhau seems to be a direct successor to Chivalry in fact. Neither Mordhau nor For Honor need to "beat" the other one because they are not competing with each other.
Those are the similar things? You forgot the KEY thing they have in common. The way they fight. You can choose which angle and then you need to block Its the same correct angle. Modhau will also have 1v1, 2v2, 3v3.. Its pretty much the same genre with ALOT OF SIMILARITIES. The different part is the "dota" one.. it isnt even dota... in for honor.. While mordhau instead adds A HUGE player arena battles. 64+? 32 vs 32? I think its higher actually..Originally Posted by Vakris_One Go to original post
So in the feature department, mordhau has the lead by far(when it comes out), if they keep their word.
Mordhau looks so ****ing better. With a good flow of combat, i think you are jealous.
Alpha estimated time: LATE AUGUST.
Oh trust me. It will be competetion and iknow you are jealous but thats a really good thing. Competition is good. And no its not a successor or follow up to chivalry. WTF? Why do you even say things like this when you dont even know.Neither Mordhau nor For Honor need to "beat" the other one because they are not competing with each other.
Mordhau has ton more depth than chivalry. Chivalry is a really bad game.
As someone who is also very interested in Mordhau, I have to agree with Vakris. I see two very different games despite your comparisons, and in addition to the differences Vakris mentioned, I see For Honor as more of a arcade-y power fantasy type game where you play as a badass warrior with only superficial similarities with their historical counterparts. Morhau on the other hand seems a little more interested in historical accuracy in terms of weaponry and armor, and perhaps combat as well. Beyond that, if we're talking pure "competition" between the two games, Mordhau will have a tough time outselling For Honor - Mordhau will be a PC only game, and otherwise would likely be nearly impossible to play with a console controller given its mechanics.
Hey MatlaenStrider, I went ahead and deleted your duplicate thread for this topic.Originally Posted by MatlaenStrider Go to original post
As for your question, we aren't actively looking to "beat" anyone. Everyone in the business of creating video games is here to create something players will enjoy.
You're coming on way too strong there bro. Please don't assume things about me because it makes you sound like a desperately insecure individual. I don't know why you're so devensive but you're coming off like a person in denial because they heard an opinion which threatens the fantasy they've created in their own mind.Originally Posted by Maaci Go to original post
You're obviously hyped for Mordhau so have fun playing it when it comes out. Just don't expect other people to care about it as much as you do.
